While many players will be anticipating the pre-orders to go live for the Xbox Series X and Series S today, arguably one of the year’s best games has been released on PS4. Atlus and Vanillaware are releasing13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimtoday for the first time outside of Japan. In celebration of thecritically-acclaimed RPG’s release, Atlus has unveiled a new accolades trailer giving players just a taste of what they can expect from the game.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimis a game where players take on the roles of 13 teens who must band together in order to protect the world in their mechs, called Sentinels. This setup offers a unique approach to gameplay, with players spending their time split between unraveling a mysterious time travel story and RTS-style mech vs kaiju combat. This distinct approach to storytelling has had several critics call13 Sentinels: Aegis Rimone of the best narrative experiences of 2020.

13 Sentinels' new launch trailerteases these thematic elements but makes sure not to spoil anything for the players interested in playing the title. In the trailer, players can see the beautiful art and visuals at work as characters summon their Sentinel or stand frozen in fear at the sight of the mighty kaiju.
The launch trailer also features13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim’s newly announced English voice cast. The game’s English dub is filled entirely with talented actors and actresses including Laura Post, who voiced Kasumi inPersona 5, and Zach Aguilar, who voiced Tanjiro Kamado inDemon Slayer. Players will have full access to the English dub via a day one patch.
It’s not just critics that have been praising13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, but game developers too.Super Smash BrosDirector Masahiro Sakurai praised the gamein his weekly column for Famitsu. For those not familiar, Famitsu is a famous Japanese magazine that specializes in video games. In a recent column, Sakurai praised13 Sentinelsfor its strong visuals as well as its captivating narrative saying that everyone should play this game.
