Summary
AnAssassin’s Creed Mirageplayer has discovered a glitch that changes the perspective and turns the game into something completely different. After telling the stories of the Vikings inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft presents a new plot and a familiar name inAssassin’s Creed Mirage.
InAssassin’s Creed Mirage, players control Basim Ibn Ishaq, acharacter introduced inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. Unlike the 2020 version of the game,Mirage’s Basim is 17 years old, and the game’s events take place 20 years before what happens inValhalla. Shorter than otherAssassin’s Creedgames,Assassin’s Creed Miragefollows the life of young Basim during the 9th century in Baghdad. Through a mysterious organization known as the Hidden Ones,Miragefollows Basim’s evolution into a lethal assassin, equipped with different armor, outfits, and abilities.
Reddit user SplashDMG126 found a camera glitch that turnsAssassin’s Creed Mirageinto an isometric game. The clip shows Basim crossing the roofs of several houses during one ofAssassin’s Creed Miragemissionswith a distanced camera. Because of the glitch, Basim appears full-body from a distance, while performing jumps and acrobatics. The glitch also shows more of the city and the residents who pass by oblivious to Basim’s presence. Like other games in the series,Assassin’s Creed Mirageuses a camera that shows all the action up close. Meanwhile, the glitch discovered by the player is reminiscent of isometric games, a style distinguished by a top-down camera perspective.
In the comments, players were impressed by the camera glitch. One player asked if it could be replicated, and a Redditor said it was a FOV glitch. Another player said the glitch made them rememberAssassin’s Creed Chronicles, aspin-off of theAssassin’s Creedseriesset in China, India, and Russia. As well as mentions ofPrince of Persiaand the Middle Eastern levels ofCrash Bandicoot Warpedin the comments, SplashDMG126 said the glitch reminded them ofSeven: The Days LongGone, an isometric RPG with strongAssassin’s Creedvibes.
