WhileBack 4 Bloodhasn’t gotten the kind of reception that some expected the spiritual successor toLeft 4 Deadto get, the developers are still working to make the game better. Turtle Rock Studios announced it had released a new patch forBack 4 Bloodwhich, among other things brings a new feature called “Stay Together.”

The game was first released in October of last year and not long after it hit the market,Back 4 Blooddevelopers made it clearthey were going to be working on new updates and content for the near future. The game allows for up to four users to play together to go on various runs while fighting wave after wave of zombies on a variety of maps. There’s also a way for players to play the game by themselves if they want, but the point of the game is for people to play together cooperatively to fight off the undead.

The Stay Together feature is geared towards allowing groups of players whodon’t want to go the solo route inBack 4 Bloodto continue to play together should they decide they make a good team. This would mean people who may not have known each other, or planned to play together before they started their run on a specific level, would be able to stick together after being matched up with others.

Announced on the game’s website, the official description of this new feature means that at the end of a run, “ungrouped” players can vote to stick together and go through another level should everyone feel the same way. Normally, these players would have had to go through the steps of friending players that might have been strangers before the run and then inviting them to another session.

The Stay Together feature is not something that’s remotely new to video games like this. One of the newer games that very prominently features this kind of setup isRainbow Six Extraction, which allows multiplayer users to vote to go through another run together once they’ve finished.

In addition to the Stay Together feature is a new feature that’s geared towards making it easier for people to stream the game on Twitch or YouTube by cutting out copyrighted music.WhileBack 4 Bloodhas been described as mostly disappointing, the developers appear to be trying to find ways to try and get people to keep coming back.

Back 4 Bloodis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
