Summary
The fact that Warhorse Studios decided upon an extremely ambitious and realistic open-world medieval RPG as their first game is something that needs to be commended. In this context,Kingdom Come: Deliveranceis easily one of the greatest achievements of any gaming studio, with the game being a highly enjoyable — if somewhat buggy — romp from start to end. That being said, there’s no denying the fact thatKingdom Comeis not a perfect experience by any stretch of the imagination, but fans who want to mitigate the annoyances of this title can end up integrating a whole host of mods that can optimize and improve the overall experience of this title in many ways.
There’s no denying thatKingdom Come: Deliverancehas its fair share of issues that hold it back from being a truly great game. However, for a first effort, Warhorse Studios has certainly done an incredible job with this game, and fans can’t wait to see what the sequel has in store for them. The sky’s the limit for this studio, and players can always integrate their fair share ofKingdom Come: Deliverancemodsinto the first game if the wait for the second chapter is proving to be a bit too agonizing for their liking.

After all, the first game is the tale that started everything. And while the second game is definitely a step up compared to the older entry across all departments,Deliverancecan become quite a worthwhile experience with the right mods. Although the game is already known for its splash of realism, some mods amplify the experience further. These include those that deliver more accurate time-keeping, add color to feathers, rebalance armor, and even overhaul the combat system.
34Medii Temporis

Players who want to add a bettersense of realism to theirKingdom Come: Deliverancegameplaycan switch to a more lore-accurate clock instead of just a thematically stylized time-keeping device. WithMedii Temporis, fans can experience the way people in the Middle Ages looked at time: not in the form of seconds, minutes, or hours, but based on things they observed. Back then, this was all about where the sun is currently positioned, how green (or yellow, or dead) the leaves were, etc.
While these elements are too dynamic for an all-encompassingKingdom Comemod, Medii Temporis does this by eliminating the core numbers of the in-game clock. Instead, players now determine time by the position of the sun, daily events, and church bells. There will be challenges for precise time prediction in the Monastery and other locations. For players who want more unique timekeeping methods, there are optional versions with church-based canonical hours or Roman-based timekeeping.
33Colored Arrow Feathers

Archery is quitea useful skill, especially if Henry is built to be somewhat weak when engaging foes at close quarters. With the right aim, Henry can take down enemies from quite afar. Unfortunately, one large caveat of archery is the scarcity of arrows. Henry has the option to retrieve arrows that miss…provided he can find them.
WithColored Arrow Feathers, this task is much easier. When installed, the mod gives all arrows four different feather colors depending on their status. Pink and Red Arrows denote levels of piercing, Cyan is higher-quality, Blue is for wounding, and everything else is Yellow. This way, players can search the ground for their arrows and retrieve them faster.
32Armor Balance Overhaul

Given the weight and coverage of plate armor, it makes sense for a fully-armored knight to be nigh impervious in combat. Unfortunately, thegeneral difficulty of combat inKingdom Come: Deliverancedoesn’t offer a lot of opportunities to showcase the strengths of these armors. WithArmor Balance Overhaul, players can finally be more flexible with their defensive choices, which can be important for those who want to be more immersive in the game.
The mod boosts the defensive rating of all the existing armor in the game. That way, gambesons and other lighter armor are more viable as protective options, which is crucial when players need something cheaper and lighter for travel. Likewise, plate has become much stronger, making it a more worthwhile investment despite its setbacks.
31Combat Gameplay Overhaul

Players who thinkKingdom Come: Deliveranceis already difficultshould consider applying theCombat Gameplay Overhaul, which switches things up to make the game feel like a completely different title. This will force AI and even players to stay away from the game’s rather methodic block-riposte dynamic. Instead, it encourages them to change zones more often and even become more aggressive.
Not only that, dodging is also more realistic, this time disallowing players to dodge as far as ten feet to avoid having to block. And speaking of blocking, players now need to match the direction of the attack in order to score perfect blocks, making fights more meaningful and challenging.

If they block at the perfect moment, they can perform a Perfect Block and leave opponents ripe for the taking. However, tackling the timing of such a situation in high-intense combat can seem too difficult for some players. Making this timing more manageable can help players either challenge themselves further or make a smoother gameplay experience - somethingNo Mo' Slowan ideal mod to use.
At its core, No Mo' Slow simply gives players a new console command they can use to manually control the Perfect Block’s slow motion instance. They can speed it up, slow it down, or remove it completely - allowing players to customize these parameters to fit their preferred experience.
29Unlimited Saving

Being a survival game, it makes sense ofKingdom Come: Deliveranceto share mechanics with other titles likeRustorARKwhere players need to manage their character’s stats in order to survive. However, what makesKingdom Comeso surprising is how it also adapts a popular survival mechanic in the originalResident Evilseries - where players can’t necessarily save the game wherever they like. In fact, players can only save if they either sleep in a bed that they own or drink a Saviour Schnapps. A recent patch also allowed a Save and Quit option, but this isn’t ideal at times when players just want a surefire way of getting back on track if they do a wrong decision.
Thanks toUnlimited Saving, players now have the ability to save anywhere they want in the game. The mod doesn’t bypass areas where players aren’t allowed to save, however. This still transformsKingdom Come: Deliveranceinto a more manageable experience.
28Bow Dot Reticle

Fans might be surprised to find out that their Bow will be missing the viewing reticlewhenever they draw it inKingdom Come: Deliverancegameplay, which might strike some as an odd decision. However, the game’s commitment to realism explains this design choice, as the devs may have wanted players to feel as though drawing a Bow to attack from afar should be just as calculated, careful, and potentially difficult as it is in real life. Fans of FPS might not appreciate this change, as having a reticle is useful in determining targets.

This simple mod simply restores the reticle whenever players draw their Bow, allowing them some degree of freedom as to where they aim and provide them a means of trying to be accurate in their shots. 27Trough Washing Deluxe

As they may have noticed, the Bath and the Trough are available to help clean players, but the base game will only have the Baths as the surefire way to achieve 100% Cleanliness while Troughs do this for a small amount.
Thanks toTrough Washing Deluxe, players no longer have to worry about this distinction. Going to a Trough will now restore them to maximum Cleanliness everytime, allowing players to worry less about this particular stat - especially if they have a tendency to get their hands dirty (and quite literally, in this case).
26Henry’s Hair Color Customization

Kingdom Come: Deliveranceis an RPG where players control a pre-defined character, which is an approach that many other titles in the genre have taken, too. However, some would’ve still lovedthe option of customizing Henry’s lookto a certain extent.
This mod is self-explanatory and allows players to customize Henry’s hair color, which can change how this character looks in a fresh and meaningful way. It may seem like a small tweak, but those who’ve stared at vanilla Henry’s mug for hours on end will know just how valuable these cosmetic mods can be.
25Yet Another Sorting Mod

There are many complaints that players have shared when it comes to the lack ofa proper inventory sorting systemin the game. Items blend whenever players open the menu, which can become grating after a point. Given the nature ofKingdom Come: Deliverance’s gameplay, it’s important for item management to be as seamless as possible so that the very act of rifling through Henry’s possessions isn’t something that players dread the more they play through a game that can last more than a hundred hours.
There are many mods available to download that do a halfway decent job of sorting the inventory, with this one being pretty comprehensive in its own right. It learns from everything that other sorting mods have attempted, making for a much better look at Henry’s inventory whenever players open up his pouch.
