Bethesda has some iconic franchises under its belt, and over the decades of games they have developed and produced, there have been plenty of integral romances that add to the narrative, joys, and heartbreak of Bethesda games. Plenty of the best Bethesda games have great couples and romances, whether they are discovered in the open world, essential to the story, or wed through the preference of the player.

More often than not, Bethesda games allow for players to have absolute freedom in their play, but just because the fate of the player is in their own hands, that doesn’t mean love can’t find them, or the NPCs in the world they inhabit.
7Adrianne And Ulfberth (Skyrim)
Adrianne is a blacksmith in Whiterun. Smithing for the humble Warmaiden’s shop at the entrance gate to the city of Nords, Adrianne spends her days crafting, smelting, and smithing new weapons and armor for customers that may be passing through. Although she is deterred by the best blacksmith in Whiterun, Eorlund Gray-Mane, she is always encouraged to continue her talents thanks to her loving husband, Ulfberth.
Despite his burly size and armor, Ulfberth is simply the merchant of Warmaiden’s and will remain at the counter while his wife works. Although the two don’t share many romantic dialogue exchanges, it’s great to see a couple working together on their business, with both parties putting aside theirpolitics of Stormcloaks vs Imperials.
6The Player And Their Spouse (Skyrim)
The player can be in charge of their own romantic story inSkyrim. Players can claim an Amulet of Mara, and wearing it will allow other characters and NPCs inSkyrimto notice, and declare their interest. There is a fine selection of men and women that can be married, and the Dragonborn player-created character can make their own romantic story.

Some of the best romance options inSkyrimare tied to the completion of quests, meaning some romances will develop naturally, after chemistry is bonded to the two. Players that create their own love story inSkyrimhave plenty of choices, even if there isn’t much to do as a wed couple after the ceremony.
5Christine And Veronica (Fallout: New Vegas)
Veronica is a journeyman scribe for the Brotherhood of Steel that players can make a companion inFallout: New Vegas. Veronica is a troubled character and is often troubled by her loyalty to the Brotherhood, and the wishes she has for a freelife in the Mojave Wasteland. As for Christine, she was also a Brotherhood scribe, who rose through the ranks as a Knight.
However, during their time as scribes, Veronica and Christine quickly fell in love. Players never get to see their romance blossom inFallout: New Vegas, but the two characters talk fondly of each other, missing one another dearly, and going on through the Mojave Wasteland, not knowing if these star-crossed lovers will meet once more.
4The Sole Survivor And Their Spouse (Fallout 4)
As players start their journey inFallout 4, they have a perfect life. In a peaceful world, a loving home, and a new baby with their spouse. However, when the war sirens wail, players are quickly rushed into Vault 111, where they are cryogenically frozen opposite their spouse, who is holding their newborn baby, Shaun.

The player-created character has to watch helplessly asa mercenary named Kellogkills their spouse to take their baby. For the majority ofFallout 4, players will embark on a revenge quest to find the killer of the love of their life and save their baby. Although the time shared between the Sole Survivor and their spouse is short, it is infinitely memorable, as the Sole Survivor talks about them dearly.
3Carol And Greta (Fallout 3)
Love isn’t always about looks, and that’s especially true when one sees this couple. Carol and Greta share many things in common, but perhaps the most stark is the fact that they are both ghouls.Fallout 3features a beautiful romance story between Carol and Greta, as this couple has been together for decades, withmuch more still to come, considering their ghoul immortality.
Carol and Greta run Carol’s Place in the Underworld inFallout 3. The two lovers care for each other deeply, and concern only grows as the years go on, and the centuries of life continue to take their toll. However, it’s safe to say that the togetherness of Carol and Greta keeps their light on.
2Corvo And Jessamine (Dishonored)
Perhaps the most tragic romance in all of Bethesda’s games is Corvo Attano and Jessamine Kaldwin. The two shared years of love together in the secrecy of the empire that Jesssamine ruled. Together, they had a daughter, and as the Royal Protector, Corvo will forever feel that he failed to stop Jessamine’s assassination inDishonored.
Throughout theDishonoredseries, Corvo has never moved on from Jessamine. He talks of her fondly, thinking of her all the time. He evencarries her heart, which has been modified by The Outsider and Piero Joplin to contain her spirit. Corvo lives to protect their daughter, but he longs for the days in death when he can see the love of his life again.
1B.J. Blazkowicz And Anya (Wolfenstein)
From the moment B.J. Blazkowicz woke up from his catatonic state in a mental asylum, he had fallen for Anya. Anya fed him and took care of him until it was B.J.’s time to return to the favor and slaughter the Nazis inWolfenstein: The New Order. Across the game, the two developed feelings for each other, and by the timeWolfenstein: The New Colossus, Anya was pregnant with his children.
The two adore each other, and they have gotten rathergood at killing Nazis together. Their chemistry is lovely, and Anya will do anything for Blazkowicz, even if that means holding his decapitated head and putting it on a new body. The couple has twins together and marries later in life, showing how despite the Nazi rule over the world, their love will triumph.
