It might not make surviving the endless hordes easier to begin with, but this is still one of the very best upgrades for the long term, especially since leveling up will drastically enhance a character’s stats such as their health and attack damage, which will be needed for completing the many challenges spread throughout the game that can net the player more rewards.
6Trigger Happy Havoc
Not only do the zombies throughout a run become noticeably faster the more time passes, but they also become far more durable and capable ofwithstanding a lot of damage, so having a higher firing rate is always going to make surviving just a little bit easier. The obvious downside to this is it will mean the player burns through ammo extremely quickly, but luckily, there are several ways to get around this.

Not only does the SWAT class have a Leader Perk which increases reload speed by 20%, but all guns can also be upgraded to increase their reload speed so that they’re much faster to use in-game, and that includes bulkier weapons likethe Minigunand Rocket Launcher used by the Tank class, meaning Trigger Happy Havoc can be utterly devastating when in the right hands.

Alongside having their unique weapons, each class inYet Another Zombie Survivorsis also equipped with two abilities that help define their character and playstyle, which can be enhanced in the middle of a run. Many of these abilities are designed to wipe out small groups of zombies so that the player can have a quick breather, but for them to remain effective for the entirety of a run, it does mean that the player will need to ignoreother buffsthat pop up to always choose the one that enhances their abilities.
Power Metal completely negates this issue by keeping the abilities powerful while also allowing the player to experiment with other builds as they are free to choose some of the other cards that will randomly pop up during a run. However, if the player does decide to further upgrade their ability damage while also having the Power Metal upgrade, it can make abilities like the Engineer’s Electrocute and Arrow Rain by the Huntress capable of wiping out entire hordes in just a few seconds, so it can work well either way.
3Hawk-Eye
SinceYet Another Zombie Survivorswas released, Awesome Games have constantly been updating the game to try and reach that perfect balance of fairness and fun, but one thing that has been drastically nerfed over the last few months is the critical hit rate. This is a big deal because critical hits become essential for later in a run when the zombies begin taking more than a few shots to take down, so being able to pop a few of their heads off instantly can make a world of difference.

The maximum damage of a critical hit is already incredibly high, so there isn’t really any need to buff this, which is why Hawk-Eye is more useful since it will increase the rate of a critical hit landing. Players will be able to make an easy high-crit build by leveling up Hawk-Eye and using theGhost classwhose Protocol ability grants him an enhanced critical hit chance for a few seconds.
2Bigger Bullets
It might not be the fanciest upgrade in the game, but there’s no doubt that Bigger Bullets can help make any run a lot more simple. Rock Hard might seem quite simple in practice, but it actually makes the game so much more forgiving, and can potentially save an entire run. While Rock Hard will fit in with essentially any build the player decides to go with, it’s most compatible with the Tank whose Leader Perk already increases his armor by 40, so pairing this with Rock Hard can make him the go-to option for lasting as long as possible. It’s also great for beginners who may be struggling to get to grips with the mechanics of the game and just need a little bit of assistance to help them feel more comfortable as they play.
