Call of Duty: Warzoneis no stranger to bugs, but every now and then a rather strange one surfaces. The most recent discovery seesplayers in possession of a Most Wanted contractbe brought back to life even after being hunted down by other players. This of course makes these contracts much more useful than they are intended to be.

Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers use these contracts for a variety of reasons, whether that be getting some money, attracting other players, or to revive their teammates, but a self revive isn’t among those reasons. Players are unclear as to why this bug is happening.

So farInfinity Ward hasn’t made any comment on this bug, but odds are something will come to light soon. This is still a very recent discovery, so it may take some time for the developers to recognize, develop a fix for, and implement a patch to rectify this issue.

Typically speaking, when a player takes a Most Wanted contract, their position is made visible to all other players on the map. Should they somehow survive for the duration of the contract, they are rewarded with a good chunk of money andautomatic revival of their entire squad. This high risk high reward scenario can be incredibly useful at times, but the bug is trivializing any aspect of risk associated with it. As noted by Joel_Cantelo of Reddit, his contract did not expire when he died, instead persisting while he spectated his teammate. This ultimately led to him being revived himself.

It’s unclear whether this would work if the player didn’t have any remaining teammates, but it is certainly overpowered to say the least. All that said, it doesn’t appear that many others are experiencing the bug, so it could be that this was just a one-time occurrence and won’t happen again to any other players. This bug may seem like a positive thing to the one that experiences it, but it could also be anextremely annoyingCall of Duty: Warzonebugfor other players. Since the contract didn’t expire after Joel_Cantelo was killed, it is possible that the player that killed him didn’t receive the bounty money for doing so.

Communication isn’t Infinity Ward’s strong suit, so if this does end up getting fixed it will likely be unannounced. Either way, this is something that players should watch out for whether they’re the ones with the bounty on their head or the one hunting other players down.

Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
