With each subsequent update and patch,Cyberpunk 2077keeps getting better following its shakey launch last year. The 1.31 update went live today and fixes plenty of bugs both in the game’s open-world as well as in its menus across all platforms.

The patch addresses a handful of issues that players have been experiencing inCyberpunk 2077, most notably fixing some problems in missions such as “Disasterpiece,” “These Boots Are Made for Walkin',” “Beat on the Brat,” “With a Little Help from My Friends,” and “The Nomad.” What’s more, the 1.31 patch notes make a point to say that wet surfaces should be much more detailed from here on out as a result of the ongoing work that’s been done on the game’s Wet Surfaces System.

Another visual fix includes one that keepsV’s character modelconsistent with the character made in the creation engine as some players found hair on their version of V in a handful of different places despite it being turned off when making the character. The blinding light that some players experienced when shooting Tech weapons has also been removed in the update.

There are five different gameplay fixes with the 1.31 update that should, hopefully, make theCyberpunk 2077experience a lot smootherfor all players. One of the most notable gameplay fixes is that enemies' stealth detection speed is now dependant on which difficulty players have the game set to meaning that detection will take longer on easier difficulties and be faster on higher ones.

Just two UI updates come with today’s patch: descriptions are returning for the Overheat and Short Circuit quick hack tooltips as well as for the Backpacker, Resist, Osmosis, and Footloose clothing mods. Despite there being plenty ofdifferent versions ofCyberpunk 2077available for players, only one platform-specific fix has come with the 1.31 update. On PlayStations, the game is further optimizing its use of the GPU.

Hopefully, the PlayStation GPU optimization is a look to the future of the game and its upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions that are supposed to be launching later this year. There haven’t been many updates on thecurrent-gen console versions ofCyberpunk 2077as CD Projekt Red has been hard at work patching and fixing the available ones, but hopefully, the company makes an announcement regarding the game sometime soon as it said there would be more updates on its development later this year.

Cyberpunk 2077is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
