Bungie’s latest blog post reveals the lengthy list of tweaks, buffs, and changes coming to manyDestiny 2exotic armor pieces once The Final Shape expansion arrives in June. It’s been another big week of information forDestiny 2fans, as Bungie continues to get the player base ready for The Final Shape. Representing the end of the Light and Dark Saga, which has spanned across both games in the franchise, fans are hoping this expansion can deliver on the many promises and payoff of a storyline ten years in the making.
After deciding to split the originally 9,000 word abilities and armor tuning post into two separate articles, Bungie has given players a lot of information to consider in the weeks leading up to The Final Shape. The first post tackled the varioustweaks being made to subclasses and abilities inDestiny 2, with Well of Radiance and Ward of Dawn seeing some of the biggest adjustments across the board. Now, Bungie has turned its attention over to exotic armor, with numerous changes planned for many fan favorite items as well as some of the lesser used gear.
Inside of theArmor Tuning Preview post, Bungie admitted that the studio had taken a full look through all the existing gear, with many items needing to be tweaked to reference a player’s equipped Super rather than a specific subclass due toDestiny 2’s new Prismatic subclass. Since many benefits and bonuses can now be equipped through the Prismatic subclass, some items need to look for the Stasis super ability rather than a specific subclass like the Hunter Revenant. However, some items have received bigger changes with some getting favorable buffs while others may be seeing some adjustments to bring them more in line with the current sandbox.
Destiny 2 The Final Shape Exotic Armor Nerfs and Buffs
In addition to itemizing all the individual exotic changes, Bungie also confirmed that it would be adjusting how “Powered Melee” effects are triggered through spending a melee charge, with these changes starting with theHunter’s Assassins Cowland Titan’s Severance Enclosure. Players will also be able to upgrade fully masterworked armor, using an Exotic Cipher and spending 10,000 Glimmer to add an Artifice mod slot. In addition, Ammo Finder mods will no longer reset through death and Bungie is also planning to remove all mod energy costs from raid-specific armor mods.
