The latestDestiny 2dungeon, Ghosts of the Deep, has proven to be a sufficient challenge for the forces of light, but struggling players can utilize a new emergent glitch that can shorten revive timers and help in both boss fights. Dungeons are 3-man pinnacle activities that pit guardians against challenging combat scenarios, treacherous jumping puzzles, and some of themost formidable bosses inDestiny 2’s storied history. Despite being advertised as group content,Destiny 2’s dungeons can be taken on by solo players, with unique cosmetic rewards and bragging rights reserved for triumphant guardians.
In the current seasonal model ofDestiny 2, aspirational PvE content like raids and dungeons are released in consecutive seasons for prospective players. AsLightfallintroduced the Root of Nightmares raid,Season of the Deep’s featured pinnacle activity is the aptly-named Ghosts of the Deep, where players are thrust into the depths of Titan’s methane oceans to fight off Savathun’s Lucent Brood and prevent the rebirth of a major franchise villain. The dungeon is a treasure trove for the fans ofDestiny 2’s rich narrative as Ghosts of the Deep is chock-full of lore and callbacks surrounding the three god-beings of Hive,stretching back years intoDestiny’s story.

Aside from the lore implications, Ghosts of the Deep is a uniquely challenging dungeon, as players face the Lucent Hive forces that boast the power of resurrection similar to guardians. From a gameplay perspective, guardians must wait 45 seconds before reviving any fallen teammates, which is more difficult when fightingtwo ofDestiny 2’s most durable bosses. Cheese Forever, one of the most prominentDestiny 2YouTubers, has recently posted a video of a glitch that allows players to shorten the revive timers in the dungeon. Cheese Forever explains that players can wipe between two encounters where the respawn timer is set to 15 seconds, which shortens the delay in subsequent sections and persists throughout the activity.
The video showcases Cheese Forever executing the glitch in the traversal section after the Ritual encounter, shortening the revive window to 15 seconds while fighting Ecthar. In another instance, the player wipes during the traversal section after fighting Ecthar, which shortens the respawn delay with success. SeveralDestiny 2players in the comment section have pointed out how the glitch can be triggered accidentally and causes no adverse effect on the overall experience of the dungeon.
Considering the time taken to make Simmumah Ur-Nokru vulnerable islonger than some ofDestiny 2’s raid encounters, this glitch is a welcome change for players struggling to get their first completion or farming the dungeon Exotic. The longevity of this glitch remaining in the game is unknown, as the developers continue to provide patches for such issues, especially the upcoming mid-Season 21update which will target several progression-halting bugs.
