In a recent social media post, Dwayne Johnson confirmed that hisBlack Adammovie is finally set to go into production. The character was originally set to make his debut in 2019’sShazam!, but DC’s powers that be decided to save the introduction of the Rock’s supervillain role for his own movie.

Johnson signed on to play Black Adam way back in 2014 when there was no DC Extended Universe to speak of beyondZack Snyder’s Superman rebootMan of Steel.
