A consistent part of the post-launch content forPokemon Scarlet and Violethas been the different Tera Raid events that allow players the chance to catch mons with unique Tera types. These raids have been a great way forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers to team up and take on powerful raid bosses to test their skills and teamwork while also netting a special critter in the process. There have been a total of 22 Raid events for the Gen 9 games so far, and it seems like there are no plans of slowing down with The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC on the horizon.
Although some of therecentPokemon Scarlet and Violetraid eventshave had issues with bugs, most of these events have gone on without a hitch. Currently, there is an ongoing event that allows players to battle and catch Chest Form Gimmighoul, which is notable as it is the first time players will be able to encounter a shiny variant of this mon. While the details of future events are still unknown, it’s likelyPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill continue with their usual pattern of regular events in the coming months.

All Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Raid Events to Date
The clear standouts from these events are the 7-Star Raids that featured mons with the special Mightiest Mark and were typically ones that had yet to become available in the Gen 9 games prior toPokemon Homecompatibility being added. Charizard was the first of these mons to be featured in a 7-Star Raid, being featured only a few months after the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Since then, other previous-gen starters like Cinderace, Greninja, Pikachu, Decidueye, Samurott, Typhlosion, Inteleon, and Chesnaught have been featured, but it’s interesting thatRillaboomand Delphox have yet to appear as raid bosses given the other starters from their respective gens have.
Other notable events include the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves event which marked the first time these two new Paradox Pokemon were available toPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers after being revealed at the Pokemon Day 2023 Pokemon Presents showcase. The most recentGimmighoul Spotlight event is also notable despite dealing with some bugs initially as now shiny hunters can finally add Gimmighoul and its evolution Gholdengo to their collection. As the release of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero approaches, it’s likely thatPokemon Scarlet and Violetwill see new raid events related to the DLC, possibly even featuring mons returning in the upcoming expansion.
