The adorable fantasy farming gameFae Farmreceived a new patch after the release of theSkies of AzoriaDLC.Fae Farmcame out in September 2023, and was a hit among fans of cozy games likeStardew ValleyandAnimal Crossing. Since its release,Fae Farmhas received various updates and DLC to the game to create a better experience for players, and this new patch continues to improve the game and address some of the most common complaints.
Fae Farmjoins the lineup of games that combine the elements of farming, romance, and battling into a fantasy setting. The game provides plenty of opportunity for different kinds of players, from those who’d rather decorate their houses or gamers who’d prefer to battle with magic in dungeons. Many gamers were excited to see a new farming sim incorporating RPG elements, but there have been some bugs and challenges along the way. WhilePhoenix Labs has faced some difficultieswhen it comes toFae Farm, the company continues to improve the cozy game and address player concerns.
After the recent release ofSkies of Azoria, there has been a lot of feedback from players to make the content better, which is addressed in version 3.1.0 released on July 18th of 2024. According toFae Farm’s patch notes, Phoenix Labs made updates to both DLC packages and the base game. Some of the most exciting changes include new additions, like new spells coming to Gusto’s Overnight Climate Exchange shop after Act 3. These spells allow players to increaserare critter or rare fishspawn rates, or grow all the fruit on the fruit trees for the current season. There’s also the addition of new hairstyles from the Skyvale NPCs appearing in Phoebe’s Fab Fits for players to equip. For fans of the game’s whimsy soundtrack, the music forSkies of Azoriahas been added to Steam for purchase as well.
But the improvements continue outside ofSkies of Azoria, including some quality of life updates to the game. Potion costs have been reduced so players can use them more frequently, as well as the Gone and Zoom potions having longer lifetimes to provide more value to players. Auto-save features have improved as well, so players don’t have to worry about losing their progress in early game quests thanks to frequent auto-saving. Some dialogue improvements have been made to reduce redundancy, and adjustments to a few featureswhen it comes to romancing charactersto avoid overlap in date letters.
This update toFae Farmaddresses a lot of the concerns of players. It’s great to see Phoenix Labs be so responsive to feedback and put in the effort to make the game an enjoyable experience for everyone. While players may still encounter difficulties throughout their experience, Phoenix Labs continues to try addressing bugs and providing updates that improve gameplay.

MAIN GAME - PROGRESSION SMOOTHING
Based on progress data and player feedback across various channels since launch, we have observed that some players have difficulty getting through Chapter 3 (the Saltwater Mines part of main progression). In particular, some players have struggled to understand the use of Seals as “checkpoints” in dungeons, or may be unaware of other “helper tools” available to them here, such as Gone Potions, or the Longer Days option. Based upon all of this, we are making a number of changes to help smooth out player progression at this stage of the game (many of which will help with later dungeons also):
