It’s a good time to be aFall Guysfan. The game has not only been released on Switch and Xbox consoles but it’s gone free to play as well, a move that isdefinitely bolsteringFall Guys' playerbase.
It hasn’t been a perfect transition: some players are unhappy aboutFall Guys' new free-to-play battle pass, for example. Still, it’s a good sign for the game’s longevity.

As with any multiplayer game, it’s more fun to play with friends than it is to play with strangers, and that’s more possible than ever now thatFall Guyshas cross-platform play and progression. That being said, connecting with friends on different platforms does require a couple of extra steps.
How to Play With Friends
Fall Guys' cross-platform and cross-progression systems aretied with the Epic Games Store. Console players need to tie their game to their Epic Games account.
If this is their first time booting up the new version of the game, they should automatically get a prompt to connect their account. Otherwise, they can do so from the social menu, accessible from the multi-headed icon next to the “Play!” button on the main menu.
Once the account is tied, then any friends on the Epic account will also appear on whatever console the player is using. Then the player just needs to hit invite on the previously mentioned social menu to add them to their next game.
If this isn’t working, players should open the settings page and make sure that cross-play is enabled, then try again.
How to Play With Only Friends
The above steps let players join public games with their friends. This is a good way to ensure a full roster, but there are times when players might not want to interact with unknown players at all. While it’s a slight hassle, there is a way to set up private matches.
The player just needs to use the Show Selector feature on the main menu, which allows players tocustomize theirFall Guysmatch.
From there, they make a room in the custom show tab and send the five-character password to the friends they want to invite.
Players should note, however, that it takes a minimum of 10 people to start a private match. They should make sure their friend list is well populated before trying this.
