Summary
Epic Games has made the Rocket RacingFortnitecosmetics in the Item Shop more affordable, following backlash from a major part of the fanbase. Many players were sad to seeFortniteSeason OG come to an end, as it brought the right mixture of nostalgia and innovativeness. However, not long into Chapter 5 Season 1,Fortnitereceived three massive game modes. These are permanent additions toFortnite, so they will be just as intricate as Battle Royale and Creative, and they will continue to be updated regularly with brand-new content to keep fans interested.
Within three days,Fortniteadded LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, allowing Epic Games to include three different genres in the game: survival, racing, and rhythm. In the LEGO game mode, players receive LEGO styles for their favorite skins.Fortnite Festival brought the Opening Night Pass, instrument cosmetics, and music tracks. And Rocket Racing introduced car skins, decals, and cosmetic bundles toFortnite.
Many fans were satisfied with the first three car cosmetic bundles that were added to the Item Shop with the introduction of theRocket Racing game mode toFortnite. However, they weren’t happy to learn how much they actually cost. The Cyclone and Jaeger 619 bundles cost 2,500 V-Bucks each, while the Diesel bundle cost 4,000 V-Bucks. A large portion of theFortnitecommunity was outraged when it became aware of these prices. On December 14, not even a week after their release, Epic Games announced that it would be changing the prices of these bundles. Fans who bought the bundles before the price change will be given a refund. This means that those who purchased the Diesel pack will receive 1,500 V-Bucks and those who purchased the Cyclone or the Jaeger 619 bundles will receive 1,000 V-Bucks.
Fortnite Rocket Racing Bundle Price Changes
The most expensive Item Shop skins cost 2,000 V-Bucks, so players were shocked to learn that car bundles cost twice as much. The significant price decrease will make it possible for more players to acquire these packs. However, many believe that they are still overpriced, especially considering howFortniteV-Bucks prices went upin October, making these bundles even less affordable.
With the release of Fortnite Festival,Fortnitealso added music tracks to the Item Shop so that players could purchase their favorite hits and play them in the newGuitar Hero-like game mode inFortnite. Many gamers are also unhappy with the price tag on the music track items. Each music track costs 500 V-Bucks, which is worth about $5. Perhaps if players continue to voice their opinions, fans will be able to get a price decrease on these songs like they did with the car cosmetic bundles.
