The Plague Doctor skins have made a return toFortniteafter being gone for way too long. At first, it wasn’t as common for new skins to be released into the Item Shop. However, as time went by and the game gained popularity and traction, demand increased and Epic Games delivered. Now,Fortnitehas hundreds of collaboration skinsand crossovers, and there are even open competitions for creative fans to try and make their own skins to see if they can get them into the game. With so many purchasable Item Shop skins inFortnite, it becomes harder for them to rotate and come back as often as before. Sometimes players just don’t have enough V-Bucks at the right moment, and then they end up having to wait several months for their favorite skins to make a comeback. This is all part of the fun, though; if it were possible to purchase any cosmetic item at any given moment, the excitement to look at the Item Shop or unlock V-Bucks with the Battle Pass just wouldn’t be the same.RELATED:Fortnite Update Brings Back Controversial Shockwave Hammer and MoreWhen skins that have been on the back burner for too long rotate back onto the Item Shop, it tends to be a big deal for theFortnitecommunity. This Wednesday, the Grim Medicine set made a comeback and the Plague Doctor skins were put back into the game. Some fans had been waiting for thesespookyFortniteskinsto return for months and months on end. At last, Plague and Scourge are now available after being inaccessible for a total of 1,080 days.

It’s impossible to tell how long these skins will be available since the Item Shop refreshes daily. It’s likely that they’ll be on the Item Shop for a couple of days since they’re in the Feature section rather than the Daily section. Although these skins were pretty rare since they hadn’t been around for nearly three years, they’re not as rare as someolderFortniteBattle Pass skinssuch as Renegade Raider.

It is unknown why Epic Games decided to add the Grim Medicine set to Item Shop at this specific point in time, but this definitely lifted theFortnitecommunity’s spirits after thecontroversy with the Shockwave Hammer. Perhaps the reason why Epic did this was to give something back to its players after they had to deal with this overpowered and unbalanced nuisance. Hopefully, now this melee weapon is back once again, it’ll be completely fixed and won’t have to be the source of so many arguments in the near future.

Fortniteis available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
