Hollow Knightis considered by many to be the perfect combination of Metroidvania and Soulslike elements, making for a truly wonderful title that is brimming with atmosphere. Exploring Hallownest and seeing how it has been ravaged by the infection is truly brilliant storytelling in every way.

However, it’s after a few enemies are killed that players realize that their task isn’t as noble as they thought. Wander may have his heart in the right place… but the fact that he’s willing to unleash a dark force on the world out of love isn’t really all that justifiable, and has dire consequences by the end of the game.

God of War’s reboot was a breath of fresh air, allowing Kratos to shine once again as a father who is trying to leave his violent past behind. While the first tale was a more personal one that allowed Kratos and Atreus to bond, the second game has a way bigger scope as the heroes try to band together and stop Ragnarok.
The game is truly epic, with all the realms unlocked and playing a huge role in the story. Combat is as crunchy and satisfying as ever, and the title will throw enough curveballs at the player to keep things interesting.
