With just a few weeks left until the release of Fontaine, HoYoverse and the leaker community have revealed plenty of information about the game’s next region. The developer has shown off several new characters coming to the RPG throughout recent teasers, includingLyney as the region’s first five-star character. Now, a group of imposing enemies roaming throughout Fontaine has been revealed.
While not much has been revealed about the variety of new overworld enemies withGenshin Impact’s next region, Fontaine is set to welcome several new mechanics to the game. Fontaine will introduce diving and underwater combat toGenshin Impactwith much of the Hydro Archon’s region covered by water. Leaks have suggested a plethora of new weapons and Artifacts will be added toGenshin Impactwith the region’s introduction. Reportedly, Fontaine is also set to feature a group of powerful enemies found throughout the aquatic region.

A new update shared byGenshin Impactleaker HomDGCat has revealedthe existence of Fontaine’s eight “Local Legends"as a group of imposing overworld enemies. The leak details eight unique enemies found throughout Fontaine serving as mini-bosses within the region. The leak did not specify where each monster appears in Fontaine, with four distinct classes of Legend enemies to be found. The new monsters are expected to debut as a part ofFontaine’s initial release in Version 4.0.
Genshin Impact Version 4.0 New Enemies
While leaks have given little information about the suite of bosses set to debut with the Fontaine region, the “Local Legends” are set to be some of the strongest enemies to appear inGenshin Impactyet. Several of the bosses sport greater HP values than many of the game’s pre-existing weekly bosses totaling up to 2.6 million HP,with Spiral Abyss valuesplaced significantly higher. The bosses are also set to sport staggering Attack values, serving as a major challenge for players looking to battle the new bosses. No information was given about the individual attacks of Fontaine’s new mini-bosses.
Genshin Impact’s 4.0 update, along with the highlighted content like new characters and the new region, is expected to introduce several smaller quality-of-life changes to the game. Version 4.0 is reportedly set tooverhaul the game’s “Party Setup” menu, featuring new animations and streamlined menus.Genshin Impactis also set to rework the game’s map, adding a “multi-layer map” making the job of navigating overworld and underground segments easier and clearer for players. Version 4.0 looks to be one ofGenshin Impact’s biggest updates yet with plenty of new content on the way soon.
