It’s no exaggeration to say that theGrand Theft Autofranchise is one of the most well-known video game franchises of all time. In fact, a recentsurvey about the most popular gaming franchiseshadGTAsitting in at the number 4 spot under some other massive franchises likeSuper MarioandCall of Duty. In a similar vein, the community and player base surroundingGrand Theft Autois incredibly expansive and very passionate about the franchise.

TheGTAcommunity often creates clever or funny concepts surrounding the series, whether it be from past games or more modern ones. One example of this is a recentGTA 6map concept that combinesall the major cities in the franchise’s history into one continent. However, someGTAfan creations are truly something special. To be more specific, a YouTube channel by the name of ArcadiaSquad recently released a fan-made trailer showcasing whatGTA: San Andreascould look like remastered in Unreal Engine 4 and it’s extremely impressive.

The description of the trailer gives some context for the team behind the trailer. Three friends from across Latin America, Santiago Ibarra, Fabian Álvarez, and Juan David Góngora, apparently spent over a year rebuilding the entire map of San Andreas in Unreal Engine. The trailer showcases various locations from San Andreas, populated by NPCs walking around and cars driving through the city streets. While aGTAgame has never officially been remade, plenty ofGTAgames have been ported to newer consoles like the upcomingGTA 5port on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

While there are a few noticeable texture and model issues scattered around the trailer, it’s incredibly impressive that a trailer of this quality was made by three people. Unfortunately, the trailer is not representative of a game that fans will ever get to play, as the team behind the trailer do not intend to make the contents of the trailer playable. It seemsGTAfans might have to wait quite awhile for the next brand newGTAexperience, as industry analyst reports seem to think thatGTA 6is still years away.
