It’s thanks toGrand Theft Auto Onlinethat fans of the acclaimedGrand Theft Autofranchise can hang out together and wreak havoc on San Andreas - or perhaps even create their own criminal enterprises and rule the streets with fashionably sophisticated clothes and vehicles. In fact, those who want to show off their sense of style might want to show off some of the game’s most expensive cars - after all,Grand Theft Auto Onlinehas no shortage of awesome-looking cars with prices to break an ordinary folk’s bank account.

Thing is, there are actually pretty expensive cars in the onlineGTAinstallment that might not be as worth the purchases as some fans might initially think. Some cheaper cars inGTA Onlinemight be more worth the while in terms of both design and performance compared to other high-end models.
8Fathom FQ2
Those who playGTA Onlineand who are into luxury SUVs might appreciate theFathom FQ2.Its appearance as a typical luxury crossover SUV is reminiscent of models like the Infiniti FX, especially with its predominantly rounded edges.
However, for a meek price of$50,000, the Fathom FQ2doesn’t necessarily live up to expectationsas a beginner luxury vehicle. Compared to other cars of the same price range, the FQ2 boasts more in terms of comfort compared to acceleration, handling, and overall performance. Not only that, but the way its suspension, braking, and overall frame functions make it more suitable for off-road travel instead of the city. It’s much worth saving up for a more expensive vehicle in the $100K-up range instead of settling for the FQ2.
7Voltic
It’s not just in the real world that people get to see electric cars, asGTA Onlinehas this in the form of the CoilVolticas well. Inspired by the design of the Lotus Elise and the design of the 2008-2012 Tesla Roadster, this compact vehiclescreams aestheticwith a side of sophistication.
Stats-wise, the Voltic boasts a quick throttle that supports its rapid acceleration. Sadly, this is all there is the vehicle can offer, as it has a rather subpar top speed. Even when fully upgraded, the Voltic is barely as fast as other supercars - not entirely useful in races. And on top of a rather lackluster durability, the Voltic isn’t a worthwhile purchase even for its modest price of$150,000.
6Bullet
Fans of muscle cars would immediately appreciate the VapidBulletfor its blending of both classic and modern designs. And among the super civilian cars, it’s the Bullet that takes the cake for its rather sentimental rally-esque aesthetic. Based heavily on the 2005-2006 Ford GT, the Bullet screams muscle through and through.

And with the right mods and decals, this modestly-priced vehicle at$155,000may look like a worthwhile purchase. However, there are certain setbacks that players need to consider. First, the Bullet is admittedly one of theslowest supercarsin the entire game. In fact, its speed fits the sports car more than the supercar classification. The Bullet certainly feels awesome for its price, but the investment would be more worth the while for the Adder and the Entity XF.
5Vacca
Fans of the Lamborghini will immediately start leaning towards attaining theVaccainGTA Online. Available immediately on the main game, the Vacca has a decent price of$240,000, fitting for its sports car aesthetic. Characterized by the signature trapezoidal body shape of the Lamborghini, the Vacca boasts all things sports cars.
Primary to the Vacca’s shining points is its powerful engine, and therefore powerful top speeds. Its decent handling makes it turn with ease, although with a need to adjust controls every now and thenon the road. Unfortunately, it’s not as aesthetically pleasing compared to other Pegassi sports car models in the game, with the Vacca being more “stereotypically” Lamborghini than having its own “signature.”
4Sultan RS
Introduced through the January 2016 Update, the KarinSultan RSis a civilian car that players might not immediately believe is a rally sports car. Based on the 1st Gen Lexus IS, the Sultan RS has quite the straightforward sedan design that makes it such a monster to behold in thecontext of racing.
Stats-wise, the Sultan RS is definitely a superior model compared to the ordinary Sultan with its higher top speed. There’s a vast improvement with regards to its braking power, as well as decent off-road performance. However, despite its decent stats, its price of$795,000makes it not as worth the while compared to more powerful vehicles of the same class - both in terms of stats and aesthetics.
3Mamba
Players in love with classic coasters will delight in theMambain the online game. Manufactured by Declasse, the Mamba is available through theExecutives and Other CriminalsDLC. And this is fitting for the Mamba’s appearance, as its design basis of the AC Cobra (MkIII) makes it a fitting car for acrime lord ruling a vast enterprise.

For a price of$995,000, the Mamba is right to boast incredible top speed. However, it suffers heavily from low durability. This combination doesn’t help the fact that the Mamba suffers from harsh handling. It takes a lot of training to master the Mamba’s movement, especially since some tight turns need the handbrake to function combined with its sensitive steering. For a car that could get damaged a lot from wrong turns, the Mamba is increasingly showing it’s not worth the price.
2Emperor
Despite the classic look of theEmperor, it’s certainly one of the more expensive sedans featured inGTA Online. Manufactured by Albany, this civilian car is based on both the 5th Generation Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham and Cadillac Sedan de Ville. As such, it’s a treatfor fans of old-school carsto enjoy.
However, with a price tag of around$1.785-million, the Emperor seems to offer a lackluster performance versus both its price and appearance. Despite its decent handling, its lower frame means it’s prone to scraping on uneven terrain. Not only that, while it can take a lot of impacts compared to other cars, its speed and practicality don’t justify taking the Emperor to critical incursions.
1MTL Dune
Although not necessarily a car in the conventional sense of the word, theMTL Duneis a civilian truck introduced in theCunning StuntsDLC. It’s created by the MTL, with a design based loosely on various endurance trucks that normally compete inrallies in the desert. In theOnlineinstallment, it’s based on the Dakar MAN TGS 480.
For a cost of around$1.3-million, the Dune is rather tricky to handle. Granted, it boasts decent acceleration and top speed, and it’s certainly reliable when it comes to handling slopes and upward treks. However, its weird center of gravity makes the Dune a dangerous companion in turns, demanding a lot of training from drivers.
Grand Theft Auto Onlineis currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
