When it comes toHarry Potter,it seems everyone is familiar with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, the Golden trio of the eight-part film series. But there’s oneHarry Potteractor in the credits who a majority of people have probably never even heard of, despite the fact that he is romantically linked to Margot Robbie.

Tom Ackerley may not be a name that rings a bell forHarry Potterfans, but he’s actually been involved in three of the eight franchise films:The Philosopher’s Stone,The Chamber of Secrets, andThe Prisoner of Azkaban. Cast as a nameless boy wizard, Ackerley served as an extra when he was just 10 years old, appearing in random scenes in the aforementioned titles. While he was never given any bit roles or lines, he was able to witness the movie magic behind the scenes. To be part of the process was an experience of a lifetime for him, as it was for the many other extras who were lucky enough to be included.

Like mostHarry Potteralumni, Ackerley would end up leaving behind his acting dreams to pursue other interests, which in his case were directing and producing. In 2014, he co-founded a production company named LuckyChap Entertainment with his wife, and together, they went on to produce a couple of notable works, including the Academy Award-nominated filmsI, Tonya(2017), andPromising Young Woman(2020). But perhaps what is even more surprising than his film accolades is his marriage. At some point, it was revealed that his wife is none other than Hollywood A-lister Robbie, who has gained international fame for her performances in blockbusters such asSuicide Squad,Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, andThe Wolf of Wall Street.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Robbie shared that the two of them met on the set ofSuite Françaisein 2013 and that they started dating in 2014 before getting married. She also revealed that her husband was specifically one of the Slytherin extras inThe Prisoner of Azkabanand that his five minutes of fame was in a scene whereTom Felton’s Draco Malfoypushed him aside to get a closer look at Buckbeak. Needless to say, Robbie surprised everybody with that tidbit of information.

Currently, Robbie and Ackerley are working on thehighly-anticipatedBarbiefilm, which is being helmed by acclaimed directorGreta Gerwig. If their past collaborations are any indication, fans can expectBarbieto be yet another success for the happy couple.
