The game takes place in the 19th century, with the player taking control of a new fifth-year student at the titular school. With a story centered around the discovery of ancient magic, players battle againstrebel goblin Ranrok and Victor Rookwood, leader of a dark wizard crime ring who wants to exploit the player’s ancient magic.
One player, who goes by the Reddit handle Princessanglbb, said they created the log of their in-game statistics during a two-week stay in the hospital with pneumonia, and they decided to chart everything by hand because there was nothing better to do. Going along with the game’s plot, the most common enemy type dispatched was goblins, who accounted for 521 individual deaths, or 29.2 percent of the enemies slain in the playthrough. The player alsodefeated a lot of Dark Wizards, racking up 507 kills, or 28.4 percent of the list, with spiders in a distant third at 235 deaths, making up 13.2 percent of the body count.
Hogwarts Legacy Statistics Show a Revealing Trend
Making up the remainder of the list are Dugbogs with 147 kills, Inferi with 127, Mongrels with 113, Pensieve Protectors with 72, and Trolls and Death’s Shadows sharing the bottom slot at 30 kills apiece. The player also claimed one kill in a special category for Solomon Sallow, the boss players can fight during theIn the Shadow of the Relicquest, although a few players pointed out that it’s actually Sebastian, and not the player, who gets credit for that kill.
In addition to tracking the body count they’d racked up during a game, this player also amusingly kept track of the number of times they’d performed the Revelio spell to try to uncover secrets throughout Hogwarts Castle and the surrounding area. There are 520 visible hashmarks in the screenshot under uses of Revelio, but the player clarified in the comments that they logged about 800 uses of the spell. As seeking out secrets is a huge part ofHogwarts Legacy’s gameplay, players tend tocast Revelio a ridiculous number of times, and several people in the comments thought 800 was a pretty low number for a full run of the game.
