Hogwarts Legacyhas enjoyed immense success since its initial launch back in February, but despite this the game’s developer has been very quiet. This silence was finally broken in the form of a massive update that brought along a ton of bug fixes and optimization changes. Alongside major changes such as theintroduction of an Arachnophobia mode for theHarry Pottergame, fans are now starting to notice one other change that has gone undetected for a while. Ignatia Wildsmith now has new dialogue lines when players discover a Floo Flame location for the first time, a welcome change that gamers are praising.
For those that may have just jumped intoHogwarts Legacyrecently, Ignatia Wildsmith is the inventor of Floo Powder, and a statue of her is present at every fast travel location in the game. When it first launched, players had to deal with a seemingly endless barrage of repeated dialogue from Ignatia every time they so much as walked near a Floo Powder location, but her dialogue frequency was reduced in a small update a while back.

With this larger update, Ignatia Wildsmith has unique dialogue that players can hear every time they discover a new location. This not only helps to shake up her dialogue lines which were getting old very fast, but also actually provides some additional information to players about certain areas. For example, when discovering Cragcroft for the first time, Ignatia will make a comment telling the player to keep an eye out for the Lord of the Shore, a reference toSan Bakar’s trial where players must face the Graphornby that name.
Another example of this is when players first discover Keenbridge’s Floo Flame location. Ignatia first talks about how keen she is on the hamlet, but then goes on to tell the player to “hang onto [their] valuables,” implying that it may not be the safest area. Believe it or not, these lines have all been in the game’s files since launch, it’s just that many of them were unused. It’s unclear at the moment why this ended up being the case, but at leastnewHogwarts Legacyplayers on PS4 and Xbox Onewill get the chance to experience all of these dialogue lines from day one.
There may well bemore cut content inHogwarts Legacythat gets added into the game in future updates; players will just need to keep an eye out for it. Though the damage may already be done in the case of Ignatia Wildsmith, who has long been considered one of the most annoying characters in the game, players would no doubt welcome more changes like this one in the future.
Hogwarts Legacyis out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Switch version coming July 25.
