True to the previous entries in the series of the Dark Pictures Anthology,House of Ashesalso features a complex choice-and-consequence system. Whenever important decisions take place, players will see several dark crows fly across the screen and their Bearings will be updated.

However, to help predict the future and possibly avert disasters, the game also sees the comeback of premonitions. These images come in the form of stone tablets in the game and are scattered across multiple scenes and characters. There are 13 premonitions in total in the game, and one of them is actually a premonition for the next game in the series. Here’s how to find each premonition image inHouse of Ashes.
13Arisen
Scene:Cursed
The very first premonition in House of Ashes can be unlocked during the tutorial sequence when players take on the role of Balathu. As you enter the catacombs while escaping the monsters sacking the ancient city, the first plate can be located inside the round catacomb room on the floor. Make sure to inspect it before checking the door leading on to the next part of the story.
12Disarmed
Scene:The Raid
After The Briefing scene, and during The Raid scene, the team will carry out a raid of the facility located by Eric’s satellite system. While playing as Jason, players can locate the second premonition inside one of the farmhouse rooms.
11Squeeze
Scene:Underworld
Once the ground has swallowed up the entire team, players will control Nick. Walk down the tunnels to reunite with Jason, next to a large hand-shaped statue.

On its left side are a set of stairs leading up to a small alcove, where this premonition’s stone plate is sitting.
10Daylight
Scene:Pazuzu
During the scene Pazuzu, players will control Salim. Walk down a straightforward path through a short tunnel, up until a set of stairs. A short cutscene will ensue where Salim looks around himself in the ruins he’s discovered. Then, directly on Salim’s left side, is a dark alcove in the wall. Walk towards it to find this premonition tablet.
9Fallen
Players will also control Eric and Rachel during the Pazuzu scene, though they will specifically play as Eric. Walk down the tunnel with Rachel, until the path forks into two. Take the path to the right side and walk all the way until the end to find this premonition tablet.
8Ultraviolet
Scene:The Temple
After Eric and Rachel descend into an age-old temple, there’s a lot of secrets and details to discover. Players will assume control of Rachel and be tasked with starting up the generator. Before that, walk towards the throne and the statue behind it, which was seen in the first scene of the game, and where the king was seated.
Continue further past it and up the stairs, and then take the hallway on the right side of the throne when facing it. The hallway leads into a side room with another secret, as well as the premonition tablet inside one of the stone shelves facing the doorway.
7Staked
Scene:After The Fall
In the scene After The Fall, Nick and Jason will make their way to a room at the end of a hallway that branches out from the temple that Eric and Rachel discovered earlier. Players will know it’s the right room because a QTE will take place before entering, as the doorway is tripwired. Inside this room, the premonition plate is located on top of a crate and is easy to spot when first entering.
6Surrendered
Scene:Slayer
After Nick and Jason (or Eric) set out to look for Joey, they’ll reach an area where a short cutscene will ensue. Both of them will inspect a puddle of blood. After the scene, look around in the ruins around you, and pretty close by on the ground, Nick should come across the premonition plate.
5Tripwire
Scene:Bloodbath
During the scene Bloodbath, as Nick and Jason enter the catacombs players will recognize from the beginning of the game, another premonition awaits them.

This one is in the round chamber with the pit of bones in the middle. The plate is on top of a pile of bones on the side of the room.
4Thirst
Scene:The Signal
While patrolling the large chasm, Nick will have the chance to uncover a bunch of secrets and a premonition during The Signal scene. Head to the side of the chasm where the radio tent is located, and before walking up the platform to it, turn right, past a fallen pillar.
This area is near the edge of the chasm and a bit dark, but it’s where players will find the next premonition plate. The plate is actually right behind the player when they first spawn in, but if they missed it, they’ll have another chance at getting it once Jason walks in.
