For those looking for a break from the typicalPokemonformula,Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DXis a good alternative. It offers a slight twist on the typicalPokemonjourney, allowing players the chance to be Pokemon instead of just catching them. However, recruiting new Pokemon to a team can be a bit tricky, especially for those afterLegendary Pokemon– like Deoxys.
Luckily, Deoxys isn’t all that difficult to recruit, though it will be some time before players are able to add it to their team. Deoxys joins many other powerful Pokemon that can be obtained inMystery Dungeon,likeEntei, Raikou, and Suicune. To get it on their side, players will just have to follow a few simple steps.
Recruiting Deoxys
First, players will need to completePokemon Mystery Dungeon’scampaign, as Deoxys won’t be available until after that. Players will also need to befriend Luigia before they can add Deoxys to their roster. Once those tasks are out of the way, Xatu will appear at the player’s base and inform them that a new area, Meteor Cave, has opened up. Players will want to be about level 60 before journeying inside, to ensure they’re powerful enough to finish the dungeon.
In the dungeon, Deoxys will have multiple shadows, which must be defeated until players find the “real” shadow. Finding the real shadow will unlock a set of stairs, which players can then journey down to the next level and repeat the process. Deoxys is on level 20 of Meteor Cave. Defeating it will automatically recruit the Pokemon to the player’s team, noFriend Bownecessary.
Deoxys is a powerful Pokemon and will be a worthwhile addition to the player’s team. There are, of course, plenty of other strong Pokemon out there too, so players should have no shortage of options when it comes to building up their team.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DXpacks in quite a bit to do, especially now thatshiny Pokemon have been addedto the game. With that in mind, players should have quite a few different things to scratch off the list– even after recruiting Deoxys.
