Navigation inElden Ringdiffers greatly compared to other AAA games. What might seem like an optional path could lead to a completely new area that could otherwise remain unexplored, meaning you might miss out onentire massive regionsif you don’t pay attention.
One such area is the Castle Watering Hole, which requires you to find hidden illusionary walls, pass through a waterfall, and get inside a coffin, among other tasks. Reaching this area can be confusing for many. Thankfully, the guide below details everything you need to do to reach Castle Watering Hole.
How To Get To Castle Watering Hole
To get to the Castle Watering Hole, you will first need to reach theMain Gate Plaza Site of Grace, which you’re able to do after defeating the optional boss,Golden Hippopotamus. It’s one of the tougher fights inShadow of the Erdtree, so bring the best gear you have.
Once you have defeated the boss andunlocked the Site of Grace, head through the door to your northwest and ascend the staircase. Go up another two sets of stairs while avoiding the hidden enemies trying to kill you. Once you reach the dining hall with two Black Knight enemies, exit through the southeastern door and cross the bridge.
Continue eastward, passing the staircases going up and avoiding the enemies. Eventually, you should notice a ladder to your left. Use it to descend below and go through the waterfall to your right. Now, there should be another ladder in front of you. Descend further below and turn east. In the next room, turn to your southwest and strike the illusionary wall to make it disappear. Go through the newly appeared path and turn left at the very end.
Interact with the coffin in front of you, which should transport you to a new location. Head straight through the door in front of you. Congratulations, you have now reached the Castle Watering Hole. Bevary of the Furnace Golemin the area and don’t forget to interact with the Site of Grace to your left, so you don’t have to make that journey again.
