Kenjaku’s Decapitation In JJK

Kenjaku met his death in the most shocking mannerwhen he fought against Takaba. This fight was quite bizarre, to say the least. Fans did not know what to expect from this fight and the way it kept going on was a clear indication of the fact that the author himself did not have much of an idea as to what to draw here. As such, this was the most bizarre sequence of chapters in the story, much of which was senseless, to put it simply. At the end of these bizarre chapters, Kenjaku managed to win his fight against Takaba, however, that is exactly when Yuta made his appearance on the battlefield and snuck up on him. He pulled up behind him, and with a single swing of his sword, managed to successfully decapitate Kenjaku.

This came as a shock to many fans, most of whom expected Kenjaku to go all the way to the end of the series, with many even believing that he would be the ultimate villain of the story. With Kenjaku decapitated, fans knew that it was do or die for him. The author cut away from this part of the story previously, and, as a result, his fate was left hanging. Now, however, it has been confirmed that he is officially dead in the story.

Yuta

Yuta Vs The Cursed Spirits

In JJK chapter 249, fans finally got a proper look at what happened to Kenjaku. Yuta, who arrived on the battlefield recently to take on Sukuna, finally gave fans a proper explanation pertaining to what the result in his battle against Kenjaku was. Simply put, Yuta arrived on the battlefield having successfully dealt with Rika. His arrival in itself meant that the threat of Kenjaku had now been dealt with, and he made sure to exorcize the brain this time, leaving no chances for it to survive. As soon as Yuta decapitated Kenjaku after the conclusion of the fight with Takaba, the many cursed spirits that were absorbed by Geto escaped.

This was something that fans expected would happen, and it was hinted at first one Toji Fushiguro defeated Geto, yet left him alive because he did not want to deal with the cursed spirits inside his body. This time around, however, dealing with the curse spirits was required and that is precisely why Yuta had Rika with him. Thanks to Rika, the cursed spirits who were on the same level as that of Shibuya, were completely dealt with and subdued. Kenjaku proved to be a great threat for Utah, despite having been decapitated.

Kenjaku’s Death Confirmed In JJK

InJJKchapter 249, it was finally confirmed thatKenjaku had lost his battle against Yutaand that he has no aces up his sleeve. Kenjaku was somehow able to use his cursed technique despite having been decapitated, however, this was of no significance against Yuta as he was still able to kill him by stabbing him directly through the head. Now, the brain that Kenjaku exists as has been stabbed and exorcized. As a result, there is not going to be any rebirth for Kenjaku and the threat has officially been dealt with.

This might take one back to what Kenjaku said previously when he was decapitated. Kenjaku mentioned that his will is going to be inherited and that is something that fans finally got to see inJJKchapter 249. According to Kenjaku, the will has now been passed on to Sukuna and it is his job to finish the merger between Tengen and humanity itself.

With Kenjaku’s death, his fail-safe plan activated and a new rule was added to the Culling Game. According to this rule, the merger is now in charge of Megumi, which automatically gives Sukuna control as well. Meanwhile, the embryo of Tengen has now been passed over to Sukuna himself, as fans saw earlier. This spells doom for the many characters in JJK and fans are eagerly waiting in anticipation to see how the upcoming fight progresses.

Was Kenjaku An Underwhelming Villain?

Kenjaku was certainly a very strong individual in the JJK series. From the very beginning of the story, he was heavily present in every major plan that took place in the story. Kenjaku was the one responsible for sealing away Gojo, and he was also the one responsible for the Shibuya Incident.Kenjaku is responsible for the Culling Gameand, in more ways than one, should have been the more important antagonist here than Sukuna.

Unfortunately, the author did not see it that way and decided to kill Kenjaku permanently by getting rid of him before even the climax of the arc began. Regardless of what fans think of Kenjaku, it goes without saying that his death is one of the worst ones in the entire story and that it has been handled with little to no care about the character. Fans expected a better send-off for him being an incredible villain and raising the stakes and intensity of the chapters over the years greatly. Now, however, what is done is done. Yuta has successfully exorcized and killed, as was confirmed inJJKchapter 249. Now, Sukuna has everything that Kenjaku once did. As such, the goal now for Yuta and Yuji is going to be to stop Sukuna in battle and end things once and for all.

The final fight between Sukuna and Yuta has already begun and fans are incredibly excited to see which one of the two is going to come out on top, as the series continues.

Yuta is strong, and has things such as the power of Rikaand an incredible Domain Expansion that he recently utilized for the first time. Yuta certainly has enough power up his sleeve to fight off powerful enemies such as Sukuna. One would expect at least that much from an individual strong enough to kill Kenjaku. Taking all things into consideration, fans can rest assured that even though Kenjaku is gone, there are many incredible sorcerers and curse users still left, and the upcoming chapter is going to be nothing short of incredible for the fans to witness.
