According to representatives, Kate Winslet was taken to the hospital following an incident while filmingLeein Croatia. Winslet’s agents indicated in a health update that the actor had checked into a local hospital at the time to verify she was doing okay but will be returning to filming this week as planned.
The 46-year-old Oscar winner will play photographer Lee Miller in an upcoming film detailing her life, including her time working as a war correspondent for Vogue during World War II. The movie, directed by Ellen Kuras, will also feature actors likeAssassin’s Creed’sMarion Cotillard,Sherlock Holmesactor Jude Law,The Death of Stalinstar Andrea Riseborough, andThe Crown’s Josh O’Connor.

This week, while filming the upcoming historical dramaLee, theMare of Easttownstar fell to the ground on the set. Her representatives verified toThe Hollywood Reporterthat the actress was rushed to a nearby hospital after an on-set mishap. According to her team, “Kate slipped and was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production.” She is OK and will film this week as planned.
Winslet has been linked to the role of Lee since 2015, and when she was interviewed about the project in 2021, the seven-time oscar nominee emphasized that it wasn’t a biography. After taking a year off from acting, Winslet has talked about coming back into the acting scene.
