TheMonster Hunter World: Iceborneexpansion that released earlier in September has continued to breathe new life into the game since its release. From themed events liketheResident Evil 2crossover, to new areas and monsters to hunt,Icebornereally has given a lot more for players to do.
Similarly toMonster Hunter World: Icebornecrossover events of the past, PlayStation has recently launched another multi-part crossover event – this time with the critically acclaimed title,Horizon Zero Dawn. In this crossover event, players will be able to equip their hunters with a special Light Bowgun: Aloy’s Stormslinger prototype.

Getting Aloy’s Stormslinger
Among the events of November, the event capping off the month focuses aroundHorizon Zero Dawn. Since this is aHorizon Zero Dawnthemed crossover event, it’s only natural that the way to get this special Light Bowgun is reminiscent of its source material. If players want to use this special weapon, they’ll need to fight and defeat a Zinogre in the Hoarfrost Reach area.
A fewMonster Hunter Worldtips and tricksare recommended for players wanting to face off against this electrically charged monster. For one, players need make sure Master Rank is at least at 24 before heading off for this hunt. Additionally, players should bring some Thunder Resistance along for the hunt, as the Zinogre is…quite shocking.
About Aloy’s Stormslinger
As stated above, this special Light Bowgun is themed after Aloy’s Stormslinger weapon fromHorizon Zero Dawn. Specifically, it takes after the Improved Stormslinger in theFrozen Wildsexpansion to the main game. The design of the weapon takes after the Bunk tribe found inHorizon Zero Dawn, complete with light blue color motifs, wooden frame elements, and tribal feathers.
The Light Bowgun weapon class inMonster Hunter Worldis the smallest of the three available ranged weapons. It specializes in mobile ranged attacks, allowing hunters to swiftly dodge and reposition when necessary. It’s also capable of utilizing status inflicting rounds and boasts the highest fire rate of the available ranged weapons.
Aloy’s Stormslinger is only the first portion of thisMonster Hunter World: Iceborneevent themed afterHorizon Zero Dawn.Iceborneis home to many different aesthetics and cosmetics, likecraftable layered armor sets.
