Yet not every team allows the MyPlayer to thrive. Compensating for a bad team inNBA 2K24is hard enough but, at shooting guard, it can be doubly miserable. Bad passers can keep the player from scoring and if the defense falls apart it won’t matter how well the MyPlayer locks down the opposing shooting guard. If the rest of the team is solid, that’s when the magic happens.

The reigning champion Nuggets are obviously loaded and ready to make another run at another title. The only thing that might hold them back is Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in that shooting guard spot. If the MyPlayer joins the team at that position, their path to a repeat is no longer even questionable.
Between Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, one ofthe best centers in the game, the MyPlayer will get better passing from this squad than anybody else. Make a player that can slash or knock down threes and get ready for some perfect feeds and tons of points.

Herbert Jones may not be a total liability but he’s no star and the rest of the team in New Orleans is ready to go. This is a team that can surprisingly win a championship with just one star shooting guard joining the team. The MyPlayer can step in early and the whole machine will come together.

With the interior taken care of, feel free to add some passing when playing for the Pelicans. Zion Williamson is one ofthe best power forwardsand is more than happy to receive pass after pass. If points and assists are both a goal, this is the place to be.

Brook Lopez
The Bucks have some ofthe highest-rated players in the game, including Giannis Antetokounmpo who is a living legend. But they are seeking another title and keep suffering disappointing playoff losses. Grayson Allen at shooting guard is an obvious issue.
If players crack the starting lineup, this entire team is perhaps too easy to win with in a variety of ways. Focus one three-point shooting and lockdown defense, the classic build for shooting guards, and the rest of the game will be a piece of cake.

The Bulls are hoping for some more firepower on the perimeter. Alex Caruso isn’t great but the rest of the team is average or better, so replacing him is a good start. After that, it’s just about finding an identity for a Bulls roster that wants to take advantage of their solid forwards.

The other guard, Lonzo Ball, is fine but could use some more help on the outside. Gamers who like to show off their dribble moves oftenfind a place to be a point guardbut they can play a two-guard in Chicago and still showcase these same skills.

Anthony Black isn’t just bad, he’s tied for the lowest-rated starter at any position. The Magic are in a dire situation with a hole like this in their lineup. It’s really too bad because the team, while not excellent, is at least passable at every other spot.
Veteran gamers love to be on teams like this. The rest of the team is not going to step up and be a star but they also won’t blow the game either. So make a build that can score in a number of ways in Orlando and steal the spotlight that nobody else can.

Outside of Damian Lillard, one ofthe best point guards, Portland is somewhat unremarkable. Scoot Henderson needs to be replaced by the MyPlayer who can then join Lillard in making this team a remarkable bunch. Passing to Lillard and watching him drain shots should make Portland a haven for assist totals.
But don’t stop with just playmaking. The inside is decent but not strong, so this is an excellent place to make a Michael Jordan-style shooting guard who can slam dunk on top of the usual shooting. With nobody else stepping up in paint scoring, the job is waiting to be taken.
