The gaming industry is no stranger to fan merchandise, and theGears of Warseries has been one to use that to its advantage. As such, toy manufacturer Storm Collectibles will soon be debuting twonew figurinesfrom recent entries in theGears of Warseries.
In collaboration withGears of WardeveloperThe Coalition, Storm Collectibles will be revealing two newGears of Wartoys from its line-up come this year’s New York Toy Fair. The first of the two figurines is called the Disciple - Locust Drone. Oddly, the figurine is modeled after an enemy type from upcoming entryGears Tactics.Further, it will include the Boomshot grenade launcher, the Longshot sniper rifle, goggles, a Boltok Pistol, and three different pairs of hands.

The Disciple - Locust Drone is described as a Locust Drone, fromGears of War’sLocustarmy, enhanced by Imulsion that is injected into its body through a harness. As such, they are generally more powerful than basic Locust Drones when launching attacks. This figurine will be available in July with a projected retail price of $65 USD.
The second of the two figurines to be debuted is the Warden. Having made its first appearance in 2019’sGears 5, this enemy type carries two mace-like weapons and has a hulking build. With a removable helmet, a Gears Infantry helmet, and three different pairs of hands, the Warden will be sold at $100 USD. The Warden will be available to purchase in September.
Wardens are described as upgraded Scion, which are large enemies first debuting inGears of War 4. With their two maces, Wardens prefer up-close combat and can easily bear a lot of damage due to the armor formed by a type of crystal in the games.
The figurines are very detailed according to their images. Moreover, they are highly reminiscent of their video game counterparts. It is odd that the Disciple - Locust Drone is debuting ahead ofGears Tactics, but it will likely be appreciated by fans nonetheless.
As for theGearsgames, its direction is currently a bit hazy. Withlongtime Gears boss Rod Fergusson gone, there’s not much certainty as far as the future of the series goes. Hopefully, it will find its footing with ease.
Gears 5is currently available on Xbox One and PC.
