Asspotted by a user JammyBoi64 on Reddit,LEGO 2K Goooal!appears to be the next game from 2K Games. The poster noticed a store page on the Australian PlayStation Store had briefly been made public before any official announcement.LEGO 2K Goooal!is allegedly being developed by Sumo Digital and published by 2K as part of a multideal agreement with the LEGO company.
The page, which has since been pulled down, showcased the game’s key art with various LEGO mini-figures taking to the soccer pitch as well as some basic information about the game itself. According to the screenshot by JammyBoi64,LEGO 2K Goooal!is set to be released across both PS4 and PS5 consoles and supports both online and offline play. The cross-generational release is understandable as bothLEGO 2K Driveand theTT-developedLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagawere released across multigenerational consoles.
The listing also confirms that microtransactions could be implemented into the soccer title.2K has previously come under fire for applying in-game transactionsso any news of microtransactions could be worrying to some players. It is worth noting that the information could be wrong, as there also appears to be contradictory information about the number of players who can play online. Until there is an official announcement from 2K, gamers will have to wait to see if in-game microtransactions will be implemented.
