Something fromUbisoftappears to have been prematurely posted on the Microsoft Store, indicating thatUbisoftmay have plans to announce a new multiplayer game or mode for an existing game soon.

This wouldn’t be the first time a game was publicly listed early on the Microsoft Store, far from it. Just last month, theTomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogywas posted on the Microsoft Storea week before its official announcement. Last year, two Devolver Digital games were leaked to be coming to Xbox the same way. Suffice to say that these Microsoft Store listings have never seemed to have been wrong.

This new leak from the Microsoft Store seems to have been spotted first by Twitter user @h0x0d and documented by @ALumia_Italia. The game was titledIncursion VMCbefore quickly being changed toVMC Only, which was then publicly delisted shortly thereafter.VMCrefers to the company that Ubisoft works with to test online components of their games, makingIncursionthe interesting element.Incursionmay call to mind thelate-game raids of the same name in Ubisoft’sThe Divisionseries for some fans, but having two modes with the same name connected to one game sounds unlikely.

What is more likely is that this is a multiplayer test forRainbow Six Quarantine,a previously announced co-op spin-off ofRainbow Six Siege.Quarantinewill have players team up as operators fromSiegeto fend off waves of alien enemies. According to the listing though,Incursionis for anywhere between 2-102 players, butQuarantineis a co-op vs AI game. This could either be an error on the listing or that another mode is due to be announced that would feature more players.

This accidental early posting on the Microsoft store might have only been a week premature in that case, asUbisoft is teasing something related toRainbow Sixfor Tuesday, May 4. It has been heavily rumored that the game will change its name fromQuarantinetoParasitefor reasons that are obvious, so perhaps on May 4Incursionwill be revealed to beQuarantine’s new name, or a mode within it. The “Confidential” label suggests that this was meant to be a private internal test for something that may have a public test soon.

It sounds like those curious might get their answer come May 4, but the listing could be something else entirely that Ubisoft plans to announce later.Ubisoft will have a press conference at E3 this year, which will be online only. It’s possible thatIncursionis a private multiplayer test for a game that could be revealed at E3. Ubisoft’s E3 event is scheduled for June 12 at 12 PM PT.
