The tweet continued to inform that the worlds of Axiom and Umbral, as well as some of the boss battles, will be the focus ofLords of the Fallen’s presence at the Future Games Show.

Little is known about the structureLords of the Fallen’s game world will take. While the 2014 original featured a linear world design, its upcoming sequel seems like it might be taking a larger-scaled approach. The mention of two parallel realms in Axiom and Umbral makes it seem like both of them will be separate open worlds, akin to howRedfallis split into two separate large maps. If Axiom and Umbral are open worlds, it will be interesting to see if the gametakes a page out ofElden Ring’s bookand forgoes quest logs and map markers in favor of the player exploring the areas organically.
