As highlighted by the user Leading-Drummer5401 on Reddit, the Kaiju Roadhog weapon skin, which turns Roadhog’s regular Scrap Gun weapon into a large, horned cannon reminiscent of a giant kaiju’s head and mouth. The problem is that the skin makes the weapon appear much larger in first-person view compared to other skins, and causes it to obscure a significant part of the player’s screen. The weapon’s bulk could occlude other enemies from Roadhog’s view, potentially resulting in a competitive disadvantage for players who choose to equip the skin, and an unintentional, additional nerf, on top ofother nerfs Roadhog received in Season 11.
Players in theOverwatch 2Reddit community largely agreed with the complaint, suggesting that other users bring it up on the game’s official forums to encourage Blizzard to respond and issue a fix. They mentioned that the problem of a weapon skin being so large it obscures a player’s view isn’t a new one, and has affected other characters in the past, including theOverwatch Archives skin for Ana, a weapon skin for Ashe, and Tracer’s Mythic Adventurer skin.
Despite the complaints, however, players did praise the overall quality of the Kaiju Roadhog skin. Some said it was the coolest skin of the season thanks to its comprehensive makeover of Roadhog into a Godzilla-like monster.
