During a recentOverwatch 2match, one gamer discovers that Mercy has a unique voice line that plays when everyone can heal themselves on her team. While fans love theOverwatchseries for many reasons, one significant factor for its popularity is the roster of memorable characters that Blizzard has added over the years. Along with having a number of unique abilities and sometimes striking skin designs, these characters have voice lines that are heard during matches inOverwatch 2,adding to the immersion of the experience.
Overwatch 2features 35 characters, including new heroes Kiriko, Junker Queen, and Sojourn, and each of them comes with numerous voice lines. While every hero has a selection of voice lines that players can purchase and use during matches, a wide range of other pieces of dialogue will play automatically depending on the situation. In addition, some of these are rarer than others, such as one pertaining to Mercy.

Taking to Reddit, a user known as NiceGuyWillis shared an unusual discovery they made while playing a game ofOverwatch 2. Specifically, the Reddit user uncovered a voice line for Mercy they had not heard before while playing a match on Midtown, a Hybrid map. However, the discovery came before the game had even started. After they selectedAna inOverwatch 2, an allied Mercy said, “Everyone on this team can heal themselves. This should be easy.”
After hearing this voice line, NiceGuyWillis proceeded to open theirOverwatch 2leaderboard to double-check if everyone on their team could self-heal. To their surprise, their squad consisted of Roadhog,Soldier 76, Reaper, and Mercy, meaning that every player had a form of healing. “Oh, she’s right,” NiceGuyWillis said after hearing the voice line before the start of the match.
Unsurprisingly, this rare Mercy voice line has created quite a discussion amongOverwatch 2fanson Reddit. The post has already gained a massive 13.1K upvotes in only a day, with many commenting that they liked interactions between the heroes inOverwatch 2. In addition to the comments about this particular Mercy voice line, several other gamers pointed out how other dialogue would only play with specific team compositions as well. For example, some users pointed out that the game included unique voice lines that were played between members of Blackwatch when they were on the same team.
Interestingly, this is not the only unusual discovery made by gamers while playingOverwatch 2. In addition to this rare Mercy voice line, another fan recently found out that therobot on the Push maps could talk to players. WithOverwatch 2just over a week old, the millions of gamers checking out the gameplay will likely unearth even more Easter eggs in the coming days.
