You’ll want to start as many Social Links as you can in April ofPersona 3 Reload. Doing this will make it easier to unlock more Social Links later in your playthrough. Mamoru Hayase serves as the Star Social Link inPersona 3 Reload, just as he was in the originalPersona 3and the male protagonist route inPersona 3 Portable. To start Hayase’s Social Link, you’ll need to have started the Chariot Social Link and have high Academics. Fortunately, this Social Link unlocks around the midpoint ofPersona 3 Reload, so you should have plenty of time to prepare until then.

What Days is Hayase Available?
You will meet Hayase on8/2, butonly if you’re a member of the Track Teamat Gekkoukan High. you may join the Track Team on4/23, thus starting the Chariot Social Link (Kazushi Miyamoto). If you’ve done this, then you will be forced to do mandatory track training during the first week of summer vacation. After you’ve met Hayase, you can find him atIwatodai Strip Mallduring theafternoonsonWednesday, Friday,andSunday.
Before you can officially spend time with Hayase and unlock Rank 1 of the Star Social Link, you’ll needlevel 4 Courage (Tough). There are various things you can doto raise your Courage. The easiest way is to eat atWilduck Burgerorplay Courage-boosting software on the Shared PC in the Dorm. You’ll also get one point in Courage if yousleep during class.

Hayase’s Social Linkwon’t rank up automaticallylike Tanaka or Akinari Kamiki. Thus, you’ll want to have aPersona of the Sun Arcanawhen you go to spend time with him. Having one of the following Persona will suffice:

You’ll achieve Rank 1 automatically the first time you meet up with Hayase. You won’t need a matching Persona (Star Arcana) for Rank 1. Thus, anything you choose during this time won’t give you any points.

Hayase will give you theCar Keykey item during Rank 10 of his Social Link. This will allow you to fuseHelel, the ultimate form of the Star Arcana. Like every other ultimate Persona inPersona 3 Reload,Helel’s level (88) is very high. If you’re completing the Star Social Link “early” in your playthrough, then you may not be able to fuse it until later.
On3/4, speak to theTrack Advisorat Gekkoukan to receive a letter from Hayase.
