Social links are a major factor inPersona 3 Reload. Not only do they allow you to learn more about the various individuals that the protagonist encounters, but they also give your Personas a power boost when you create new ones. For that reason, it is important for you to dedicate as much time as you can to improving social links with a wide variety of characters.
Beyond empowering Personas,social linkscan also open up romance options for the protagonist as well. There are several girls that you can choose from, and Mitsuru Kirijo is one such social link, although she isn’t unlocked until much later on in the game. Whether you want to romance her or simply max her social link, here is how to unlock Mitsuru’s social link along with the best responses.

How to Start Mitsuru’s Social Link
The first thing you should know is that there are some pretty intense criteria needed to unlock Mitsuru asa social link. First off, you must haveyour Academics score maxed out. In addition to this, the social link is time gated and will not start until 11/21. Once you’ve met both of these conditions, talk to Mitsuru. She will ask if you can spare some time, say yes. This triggers a cutscene. Dialogue options do not matter here, so pick whichever responses you want. Once the cutscene is over, the Empress Arcana will unlock.
Just like with any social link, you will have to hang out with Mitsuru regularly to improve your rank. Mitsuru can be found in the first floor hallway of Gekkoukan High School near the library on Monday through Saturday. For each event that improves your rank with her, the best answers have been provided below.
First Rank Up
During the first event, you may pick any option as you will get points with her regardless. Once the cutscene is over, you will reach Rank Two.
Second Rank Up
Unlike the first event, you will need to make sure you are picking the right responses for the second event. Otherwise, you will have to waste extra days to get the points needed for the next rank. The answers you need to select are as follows:
Third Rank Up
Rather than going out to eat, you will be hanging out with Mitsuru at the library for this event. To get the most points, select the following responses.
For the third response, you can choose any option and you will reach the next rank.
Fourth Rank Up
In order to get the most points towards the next rank, choose the following when prompted.

Sixth Rank Up
This next event is pretty short, so all you have to do is select the following response:I don’t mind at all.
Seventh Rank Up
For this event, the first three responses don’t matter. Once you reach the fourth and fifth response, select the following:
For the next event, be mindful of your choice for the third response, as saying “I love you too” starts a romance with Mitsuru.
For this event, choose the following options:
Ninth Rank Up
This is the final event, so you can pick any option you want. Once the cutscene is over, you will have maxed out your social link with Mitsuru, which unlocks the ability to create Alilat.
