This weekend brings anotherPokemon GOCommunity Day and should help give players an exciting afternooon of activities. The Galarian Zigzagoon themed event is up next on thePoGOAugust 2022 calendar of eventsand features some additional features and bonuses that should help motivate players to log in whether they are fans of this particular pokemon or not.
The Galarian Zigzagoon Community Day will kick off on Saturday, August 13 inPokemon GOand provide some extra special bonuses for participating trainers. Trainers can expect all the usual features including increased spawns, an optional ticketed Special Research Task, and a list of other bonuses up for grabs. There are Group Bonuses available this time around as well, so be sure to gather some friends before heading out to the activities and get ready toearn some bonus Stardust.

Galarian pokemon are generally fairly popular, even thoughGalarian Zigzagoon isn’t going to dominate the meta gameor anything like that. Regardless of whether players are really interested in Galarian Zigzagoon or not, the long list of other bonuses wiill likely be too tempting to pass up when the August Community Day event arrives.
Start and End Times
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time
Starting in February 2019, Community Day events now always take place on local time, no matter where you are playing. That changes a bit over the winter months as the time is split between hemispheres rather than time zones. It looks like we’re back to one time at this point though.
Special Move
Evolve Galarian Linoone (Galarian Zigzagoon’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get an Obstagoon that knows the Charged Attack Obstruct. Make sure to evolve during the active time window (within two hours of the event ending) if you want to secure the exclusive move.
Bonuses
Bonuses for Groups
This bonus will not stack with the base 3× Catch Stardust bonus and will instead replace it for the duration.
Shiny Variant
Niantic usually doesn’t confirm the shiny chance until after the event has started, but keep an eye out for shiny Zigzagoon while hunting. They’ve been a part of every other Community Day event, so we fully expect to see them this month, as well.
