Pokemon GO’s Roggenrola Community Day is set to occur on Sunday, September 18, and there are several ways for players to get involved in the event. For instance, there is an event-exclusive Special Research Story, which is dubbed Rock ‘n’ Roll, for fans to work through. Players will need to put some real-world money toward unlocking the Rock ‘n’ Roll Special Research inPokemon GO, though, and they can use this guide to determine if its rewards justify the financial investment.
As a quick point of clarification, fans that do ultimately decide that they would like to complete to the Roggenrola Community Day Special Research should direct their attention to the Shop that can be accessed through the app. In this Shop,PoGOplayerswill find a ticket that costs $0.99, and indeed it is what unlocks the Special Research Story.

Step 3
Step 3 Completion Reward:2,500 XP, 1 Rocket Radar 15 Ultra Ball
Step 4

Notably, this Special Research is extremely similar to the Special Research Stories that were featured in the July and August Community Days, which focused on Starly and Zigzagoon respectively. In fact, the tasks in Rock ‘n’ Roll are identical to the tasks that made up the Special Research Stories from thoserecentPoGOCommunity Days, though Roggenrola is taking center stage this time around. The rewards have received small tweaks, though, and some fans will certainly feel that they are changes for the better.
Specifically, the Roggenrola Community Day Special Research awards two Star Pieces in place of two Incense that were awarded through the Special Research Stories from the Starly and Zigzagoon Community Days. For the uninitiated,Star Pieces inPokemon GOprovide a temporary boost to the rate at which Stardust is obtained, making them useful to players that are looking to power up Pokemon and make trades. While this change it is not particularly significant, it may increase some fan’s interest in purchasing a September Community Day Ticket.
