Remnant 2’sHandler is an incredibly versatile class Archetype that comes with its very own dog companion. It’s not quite at the level of the Summoner in terms of pet damage output, but it makes up for it with a variety of utility skills that can help any party survive even the toughest encounters inRemnant 2.

This guide focuses on the Handler’s identity as a support-oriented class. Players will still be able to solo content with this setup, but it will only shine the most in group play, where every individual gear piece’s true value is made more apparent.

Remnant 2 Handler Build

The Handler can work well in tandem with any Archetype, but for a support-focused build, players willwant to take Medicas either their main or secondary Archetype. This decision depends on whether players need the dog to revive downed allies. If not, then the Medic’s Regenerator Prime Perk will be of much more use in every situation.

Armor

Any

While players are free to take any weapon they want, using Nightfall is highly recommended for its innate lifestealing capabilities that can help keep the player alive while simultaneously burning down the enemy’s HP bars. This is complemented by a secondary weapon with the Healing Shot mod, which can be used to heal the dog or other teammates in a pinch.

Healing Shield is interchangeable with other Medic skills, though this one tends to be the least situational. Support Dog is great for players who want a constant source of healing, and it’s a great partner for theAnastasija’s Inspirationring, which grants Haste every time its wearer receives a healing effect.

The accessory setup above improves the player’s ability to keep the entire party (including the dog) alive.Burden of the Divineessentiallyincreases outgoing healing at the cost of reducing DPS. This is compensated forby theAnkh of PowerandStone of Balance, which both increase the wearer’s damage output. Use Faerin’s Sigil for more Mod Power generation and Heart of the Wolf or Anastasija’s Inspiration for extra movement speed.

This build plays similarly to a normal Medic, except players now have to micromanage their dog so the team doesn’t lose any potential passive healing from the Support Dog skill. Focus on keeping the team up and about, and spend any downtime pouring rounds down a nearby monster’s face.

Remnant 2is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
