After weeks of endlessrumors and speculations, Capcom finally revealed the highly-anticipated remake ofResident Evil 3: Nemesis. Along with the official announcement, Capcom unveiled the first-ever trailer for the game, which also confirmed the character design of Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira, as previously leaked last week.

Resident Evil 3’sreveal trailer opened with protagonist Jill Valentine running for her life as she is pursued by Nemesis. The first few scenes of the preview were shown in first-person, which begs the question of whether the game will actually be played from this perspective similar toResident Evil 7.However, this may be unlikely given thatResident Evil 2 Remakeis played via the over-the-shoulder perspective, which is most likely going to be carried over toResident Evil 3.

The preview also showed several of the game’s supporting characters such as Carlos Oliveira, Nikolai Zinoviev, Mikhail Viktor, and Brad Vickers. One notable difference between the remake and the original isthe outfit that Jill sports in the game. The trailer revealed that just like inResident Evil 2Remake, Capcom is designing the outfits of the characters to be more realistic. In the trailer, Jill sports a more combat-friendly outfit, which is somewhat similar to what Lara Croft wore in recent Tomb Raider games.

Although the trailer showed Nemesis chasing down Jill, the preview did not really show what the monster would look like in the game. In the photos that leaked last week, many players weren’t really happy about how Nemesis turned out, so it is currently a mystery what his appearance in the game would be like. Is Capcom backpedaling and was forced to hide Nemesis in the trailer to redesign the monster? Or was the leaked image Capcom’s way of trolling fans?
