Now, it seems the newest edition ofSkyrimmight be coming to an all-new platform.

Though, apparently, the newest version ofSkyrimwill be ported onto an additional platform that many fans were unsure would get the same treatment.

SwitchBrasil, a Portuguese news site that specializes in Nintendo Switch coverage, revealed that the Digital Game Rating Committee in Taiwan had a Nintendo Switch version ofSkyrim: Anniversary Editionlisted in its database. If this news is to be believed, then it’s likely thatSkyrim: Anniversary Editionwill be released on Nintendo Switch at some point in the future.
The originalport ofSkyrimon Nintendo Switchwas already a welcome surprise, but to have theAnniversary Editionpotentially releasing on the Switch as well will be sure to excite plenty of Nintendo fans. However, it’s important to note that Bethesda hasn’t officially announced the port, so it’s important for fans to take this news with a grain of salt.
Plus, it’s rather odd that a Switch port ofSkyrim: Anniversary Editionwould release several months after the original release. It could simply come down to the hardware limitations of the Nintendo Switch compared to that of other consoles. Not to mention that both thePS4and Xbox One versions ofSkyrimhad been released one year prior to the Nintendo Switch port.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds forThe Elder Scrollsseries going forward. It’s been almost four years sinceThe Elder Scrolls 6was officially announced, and many fans are starting to wonder when Bethesda will release additional information. While E3 2022 was canceled, it’s likely that Bethesda, as well as other major publishers and studios, will host digital events that will discuss upcoming projects in further detail. It’s also possible that the Switch port ofSkyrim Anniversary Editioncould also be officially unveiled within the same timeframe.
