How Usagi Becomes Sailor Moon
Early in theSailor Moon,Usagi meets a talking cat named Luna. Luna was an advisor and companion to Princess Serenity and her mother, Queen Serenity. When the Moon Kingdom was defeated by the Dark Kingdom, Luna and a white cat named Artemis were put to sleep and sent to Earth to look after the Sailor Guardians, who were to be reborn there. After Luna recognizes Usagi as the reincarnation of Princess Serenity, she gives her a magical brooch. This brooch triggers Usagi’s transformation into Sailor Moon.

Moon Prism Brooch
Sailor Moon’s first transformation brooch is the Moon Prism Brooch, also known as the Transformation Brooch. It is a round, golden brooch with a pink center and a crescent moon symbol. Given to Usagi by Luna, the Moon Prism Brooch is used when Usagi transforms into Sailor Moon by saying “Moon Prism Power, Make Up!” This triggers a magical sequence where her regular clothestransform into the Sailor Moon sailor suit.
Crystal Star
Sailor Moon receives the Crystal Star from Queen Serenity after the Transformation Brooch is destroyed during a battle with Queen Metalia. The Crystal Star holds her Silver Crystal and is a small, star-shaped makeup compact with pink, gold, and silver colors. The Crystal Moon was destroyed in a battle with Death Phantom.
Cosmic Heart Compact
Given to Sailor Moon by Neo-Queen Serenity, along with the Spiral Heart Moon Rod, the Cosmic Heart Compact is shaped like a red heart with gold borders and a small crown on top.
Crisis Moon Compact
The Crisis Moon Compact, a brooch given by Pegasus when he upgrades her Cosmic Heart Compact, is heart-shaped. It can be used with Chibi Moon Compact to turnUsagi into Super Sailor Moon.
The Holy Grail
A golden goblet adorned with jewels, hearts, a crown, and wings, the Holy Grail allows Usagi to transform into Super Sailor Moon and enhances the powers of the Spiral Heart Moon Rod for attacks like Rainbow Moon Heartache.
Eternal Moon Article
Used to transform into Eternal Sailor Moon, the Eternal Moon Article is the last brooch in the series, created whenthe Inner and Outer Sailor Guardiansaim their powers at the Crisis Moon Compact. It holds her Silver Crystal.

Moon Stick
Sailor Moon receives the Moon Stickearly in the series, a scepter with a crescent moon on top. With the Moon Stick, Sailor Moon has a healing power called Moon Healing Escalation that can purify and heal people or objects that have been corrupted by evil forces. Sailor Moon can also perform Moon Prism Power with the Moon Stick.
Tiaras
Tiaras are worn with all of the Sailor Moon transformations, except for Sailor Cosmos, Sailor Galaxia, and Eternal Sailor Moon. They are often thrown at enemies, but they also allow Sailor Moon to do attacks like Moon Tiara Action, Moon Tiara Stardust, Moon Frisbee, Moon Twilight Flash, and Moon Tiara Boomerang.
Cutie Moon Rod
The Cutie Moon Rod or Moon Rod is heart-shaped scepter with a crescent moon at the center. In the anime, it was given to Usagi by Queen Serenity. The Cutie Moon Rod is used to perform the Moon Princess Halation attack, which releases a surge of energy.
Spiral Heart Moon Rod
The Spiral Heart Moon Rod is an upgraded version of the Cutie Moon Rod. The Spiral Heart Moon Rod gives Sailor Moon the ability to perform the Moon Spiral Heart Attack, Rainbow Moon Heartache, Moon Cosmic Power and Rainbow Double Moon Heartache with Super Sailor Chibi Moon.
Moon Kaleido Scope
Sailor Moon and Chibiusa receive the Moon Kaleido Scope from Pegasus - the guardian of the Golden Crystal and the holy priest of Elysion. Pegasus creates the weapons from normal kaleidoscopes purchased for them from by Mamoru. They still look like kalodescope, but now they new tops and handles with wings. This is the only weapon in the series whose material was known. The Moon Kaleido Scope is used to do the Moon Gorgeous Meditation - an attacks that shoots out an intense rainbow blast and energy bursts that look like shattered glass.
Eternal Tiare
The Eternal Tiare isSailor Moon’s strongest weaponand is summoned when she first takes her Eternal form. Because it is her strongest weapon, it is used for most of her most intense and power attacks, such as Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss, Starlight Honeymoon, Double Therapy Kiss, Silver Moon Crystal Power Therapy Kiss and Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss.
Holy Moon Chalice
The Holy Moon Chalice is a golden goblet adorned with jewels, hearts, a crown, and wings. It is seen in the anime when Sailor Chibi Chibi uses it to enhance the Eternal Tiare and it forms the Moon Power Tiare.
Moon Power Tiare
The Moon Power Tiare is the final weapon of the anime. With the Moon Power Tiare, Eternal Sailor Moon can perform Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss. She also performed Silver Moon Crystal Power with it.
Silver Crystal
