A week after it launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC,Sifuhas proved to be a well-received and popular roguelike title. With a unique mechanic that sees a player age exponentially every time they die,Sifualready had many gamers interested before launch, and when it did finally launch, it did so with an impressive number of initial players. Developer Sloclap celebrated500,000 players loading upSifuat launch.Despite this initial success, and a reported lack of glitches and bugs at launch compared to some other modern titles,Sifustill has fixesthat need to be implemented. While some of these are quality of life changes forSifu’sgameplay, including the addition of assist options or a difficulty setting to circumvent the difficult combat in the game, other problems have been occurring with the bosses in the game.RELATED:Sifu Adding Difficulty Modes, More Accessibility in Future UpdateAs with many otherroguelikes such asHadesandDead Cells,Sifutakes players through a level full of lower difficulty enemies before making them face the final boss of that area. AsSifu’sstory and gameplay relies heavily on the bosses faced in the game, bugs with those bosses have been treated as things to fix as quickly as possible by developer Sloclap. Taking to its Twitter account to inform fans that patch 1.06 was releasing forSifu, the studio also unveiled what bugs will be fixed in the update.

At the top of the list of patch notes are fixes to Sean, thesecond bossSifuplayers will facein the game, alongside fixes to the gameplay of the third boss, Kuroki. There are also small tweaks coming to the second level of the game, along with general polish and debug work going through the design portion of the game. Global optimization is also on the list of changes for patch 1.06, alongside crash fixes that will stop players from losing progress annoyingly in the middle of the run.

People commenting under Sloclap’s post were happy to see that some of the bugs they’d encountered were being fixed, though it seems some problems have slipped through the cracks. One player ended up being stuck in between two phases of a boss fight. AnotherSifuplayer asked whether owners of the deluxe version of the game would be getting any exclusive content soon, to which Sloclap responded “we’ll soon tell you more about that.” It seems then that some new content may be coming to the game along with bug fixes.

Sifuis available now on PC, PS4, and PS5.
