TheStar WarsMandoVerse continues to ramp up asThe Mandalorianseason 3 has come to a close, and there are several new stories on the horizon. One of these is Dave Filoni’sAhsokashow. The first trailer forAhsokapremiered atStar WarsCelebration Europe in London, England in April 2023, and was met with a rapturous reception from fans. A longer trailer was also shown exclusively to attendees, featuring the first look at the face of the returning Grand Admiral Thrawn. The trailer included two new dark side Force users, both of whom were wielding red/orange lightsabers. It’s unclear if these are Sith Lords, Inquisitors, or something else entirely, but Dave Filoni does seem to have an affinity for Inquisitors in his stories.
The Clone Warsintroduced fans to the idea of the Inquisitors. Palpatine attempted to kidnap Force-sensitive children to form group of powerful dark side users at his disposal without breaking the Rule of Two. Meanwhile,Star Wars Rebelsfeatured countless Inquisitors led by the Grand Inquisitor, who went on to appear in the Obi-Wan centric series starring Ewan McGregor. Because of Dave Filoni’s keenness to feature Inquisitors in his stories, it’s possible that Reva, who was introduced inObi-Wan Kenobiand whose fate is currently unresolved, could appear in his upcomingAhsokashow.

Dave Filoni wasn’t directly involved with the writing of theObi-Wan Kenobishow in the same waythat he is in the various MandoVerse series, but he did have a sizable influence on its creative direction. The original story for the show was reportedly said to feature Maul as the main villain before Filoni stepped in and urged the writers to position Darth Vader as the primary antagonist, alongside a group of Inquisitors. Based on the reaction from most fans, that appeared to be the right decision, as audiences were overjoyed with the return of Hayden Christensen to this iconic franchise. The Canadian actor appeared alongside these Inquisitors in this story, many of whomwere created by Dave Filoni himself, most notably the Grand Inquisitor and the Fifth Brother.
Reva, who was played by Moses Ingram in the series, had a lot offriction with the other Inquisitorsand the reasons for this became clearer as the show went on. Reva was driven by rage towards Vader, who had killed her family and friends at the Jedi temple during Order 66. She wasn’t particularly committed to the Empire or the Dark Lord of the Sith, but her anger was what made her dangerous. In the end, she wasn’t really a villain. Instead, she was a confused, angry, and lost soul who Obi-Wan did his best to guide in the right direction during the events of the special event finale. That’s the last time audiences saw Reva, and there has since been no mention of her in canon at all, although it’s suspected that she will reappear at some point.
Obi-Wan Kenobiwill most likely get a season two, especially if Ewan McGregor gets his way, so Reva could easily appear in those episodes. However, Dave Filoni might be inclined tomove her further along in the timelineand bring her into the post-Return of the Jediera. He certainly enjoys the presence that Inquisitors have on screen, and that likely includes the way in which their inclusion allows the Rule of Two to be kept intact, while still having a noteworthy villain for the characters and heroes to go up against.
In regard to Reva appearing inAhsoka,it would most likely not be in an antagonist capacity. Filoni might be tempted to present her as an ally, which would be an interesting subversion of expectations from the rest of the Inquisitors. Most of the other Inquisitors are fallen Jedi, those who used to be on the light side of the Force before turning sometime around the events of Order 66. Reva did the same, but she was also different in that she never really turned to the dark side. Rather, she just tapped into the anger to get revenge for her family and friends that were killed. Reva being a former Inquisitor but now a Jedi alongside Ahsoka in the new showwould be a reversalof the usual journey of the members of the group.
Official plot details onAhsokaare scarce for right now, but some elements are known. The series appears to be adirect sequel toStar Wars Rebelsand will feature most of the main heroes from that show, including Ezra, Hera, Sabine, Zeb, Chopper, and more. The overarching villain of the series is also Grand Admiral Thrawn, played by Lars Mikkelsen, so he seems confirmed to come back from the unknown regions during the course of the episodes.
