Stardew Valleyfeatures a variety of special events throughout the year, offering players a much-needed break from the daily grind on their farms. Each of the four seasons welcomes two unique festivals. Although attendance at festivals is entirely optional, they are the perfect chance for players to introduce themselves to Pelican Town’s villagers and build deeper friendships with them.
One ofStardew Valley’s most enchanting and anticipated events is the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. The Moonlight Jellies or “Lunaloos” are large bioluminescent creatures that pass throughPelican Town’s Beach every summerduring their annual migration. The jellyfish are attracted to the soft glow of torches carefully lit by Mayor Lewis.

The Dance of the Moonlight Jellies
This festival takes place each year on the last day ofSummer, the 28th. Since it is a nighttime festival, players can attend it by entering The Beach between10 PM and 12 AM.When the festival ends, players will be instantly transported back to their farms at 12 AM.
The Beach will be closed off prior to the event, and players can not access iteven if they useWarp Totemsbefore 10 PM.
The Dance of the Moonlight Jellies serves as a calm and peaceful end to a busy summer. Unlikeother festivals inStardew Valley, there are no competitions or contests associated with the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies.
As they float past the town, the Moonlight Jellies emit a gentle, soothing glow that adds to the serene ambiance of the event. The jellyfish are a light blue color, but occasionally, players can spot a rare green jelly with a slightly different body. Ifplayers talk to The Wizardduring the festival, he explains that these creatures possess“an unusually potent magical aura.”
Talking to Mayor Lewisbegins the special event of the festival. The Mayor lights up a torch to attract more jellyfish. This triggers a cutscene where jellyfish will come swimming towards the beach, leaving the entire community filled with awe and enchanted by their beauty. The festival immediately ends after viewing the cutscene.
Forplayers who are married or engaged, their spouse or fiancé will be next to them and watch the jellyfish migrate during the festival.
