While it may have been delayed by a few weeks,Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris still one of the most hotly anticipated games of the year, with fans desperate to find out more about the next step in Cal Kestis' Jedi Knight journey. Taking placefive years afterStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,Jedi: Survivorsees an older, wiser Cal facing off against an ever stronger Empire, with Inquisitors, Purge troopers, and plenty of other Imperial threats hot on his tail. Going off the game’s name alone, it seems like this sequel will have a bit of a darker tone, with Cal likely on the run from overwhelming forces, and he’ll need to travel across the galaxy to avoid them.

One of the best elements ofStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwas its decent selection oficonicStar Warsplanets, each of which was fully explorable. These planets were both excellent in terms of gameplay and atmosphere, with engaging Metroidvania-like level design, and visuals that oozed withStar Warscharm and transported players directly to those worlds. When it comes to the sequel,Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhas its pick of countlessStar Warssystems, though there are a handful that would make complete sense.

Nar Shaddaa

Nar Shaddaa

A planet that’s been seen countless times inLegends, but very rarely in canon, Nar Shaddaa is a seedy underworld populated by gangsters, bounty hunters, and criminals of all types. Nicknamed the “Smuggler’s Moon,” Nar Shaddaa is neon-soaked alleyway after neon-soaked alleyway, only broken up by bars, black market stores, and other seedy businesses. Nar Shaddaa features practically no law enforcement at all, making it the perfect hideaway forJedi fugitive Cal Kestis. Though he’d be surrounded by cutthroat criminals, Cal would likely be much safer on this dangerous moon than in the hands of the Empire, and it would make complete sense for Cal to come here on his journey, especially if he needs information.

Nal Hutta

The planet right underneath Nar Shaddaa, Nal Hutta is the home of the Hutt gangsters, and criminal activity is just as rife here as it is on its moon. Similar to Nar Shaddaa, if Cal needs help from some shadier individuals, then his best bet is to search for them on Nal Hutta, though trading with the Hutts is never a fair deal. The planet itself is essentially just one large swamp, with hot bogs littered across the planet’s surface. This type of environment could offer some unique visuals forStar Wars Jedi: Survivor, with its green acid rain being especially unique.

Mustafar

Cal Kestis would only go to Mustafar for one reason, and that’s to break into, or out of, the castle owned byStar Wars' Darth Vader. Finally made canon inStar Wars: Rogue One, Darth Vader’s ominous castle on Mustafar is home to a plethora of Force-imbued artifacts, along with a suite of Imperial jail cells. While it seems like a fairly unlikely encounter,Star Wars Jedi: Survivorcould see Cal imprisoned on Mustafar at some point, where he has to escape before Vader comes to torture him. Alternatively, there could be an artifact that Cal needs in the castle, and players will need to sneak in, grab it, and sneak out without the Empire noticing.

Tatooine

It’s a bit of an overused trope at this point, but there’s no denying that Tatooine is the most well-known planet in all ofStar Wars, and it would be fun to see Cal Kestis visit the desert world at least once. For quite a while now, fans have theorized thatCal will end up meeting Obi-Wan Kenobi, especially as bothJedi: Survivorand theObi-Wan Kenobishow are set in the same in-universe year, and what better location than Tatooine. It would also be great to explore Tatooine in an open-world game as, aside fromLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, fans haven’t really gotten to do that before.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris set to release on April 28 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
