Through boss battles and main quests, he will progress by piecing his shattered past back together. Side quests, while optional, are another excellent source of memories for players to boost Corvus’s collection rate quickly.
5Sea Of Trees Sub Quest 01 - Destroy All The Cysts
The very first sub quest in the game is in the Sea of Trees area. Players should not skip this as it opens up the rest of the side quests, allowing for maximum reaping of rewards. Corvus will need to exterminate all the cysts along his path while battling all the enemies that pop up, collecting rewards as they drop, or finding them in hidden locations. As with main quests, there are plenty of beacons scattered throughout to ensure playershave the opportunity to save.
Thymesia: How To Parry
Players will find several Collection of Memories Lv 1 throughout the quest and other bonuses such as Flying Daggers skill shards, Hammer Skill Shards, and Alchemy Enhancers. These skill shards are essential to building valuable plague weapons to improve Corvus’s power and efficiency throughout the game. This side quest is a great way for players to get their feet wet with the mechanics of the game’s optional tasks and gain experience, memory, and valuable items.
4Sea Of Trees - God Of The Fools
While technically not a side quest, this optional boss follows the flow of Sea of Trees side quests and should not be skipped. Players cannot accessthe God of the Foolswithout completing Sub Quests one and two. Because this is the first optional task in the game offering excellent rewards, players will not want to miss out on completing it.
God of the Fools involves fighting several lower-level bosses where players will collect smaller rewards such as Collection of Memories Lv 1, XP, and Skill Shards for various weaponry. Once the battle is completed and players have escaped the God of the Fools, they will be rewarded with almost 4000 Memory Shards and Fool’s Punch Skill Shards.
3Sea Of Trees - Mutated Odur
The final optional task in the Sea of Trees is not an actual side quest but a culmination of events that cannot be reached without completing everything leading up to it. Players must complete the two side quests and the God of the Fools battle beforethey can fight Mutated Odur. They will be happy to find that this enemy is a bit easier to defeat than the original, despite looking larger and more disturbing.
Thymesia: How To Get All EndingsPlayers will be rewarded with some of the best experience in the game from this one battle, which is why this optional event is not to be missed. They will receive 6400 Memory Shards for successfully defeating Mutated Odor. Replaying this battle will achieve fast leveling-up possibilities, maxing out character stats.
2Royal Garden - Underground Laboratory
While this side quest in the Royal Garden area offers up a decent challenge, its rewards are even more remarkable. The object is to defeat the Sound of the Abyss, but players must work their way to the boss first. Along the way, they can pick up Alchemy Enhancers, Whip Skill Shards, Greatsword Skill Shards, and Halberd Skill Shards from lower-level enemies. There are also several locations to obtain Collection of Memories Lv 1.
Players will find the battle withthe Sound of the Abyssalmost scripted, with three primary attacks in the first phase. The second phase is even more scripted, allowing players to expertly devise tactics to destroy the enemy. Once the battle is over, 5800 Memory Shards, Vile Blood Shield Skill Shards, a Forgotten Feather, and Sound of the Abyss' Core will be given to the player.
1Hermes Fortress Sub Quest 01 - Defeat Urd
In Hermes Fortress, the first side quest starts out in Varg’s arena with lesser enemies, which should not be taken lightly. Some of them are capable of dealing 300 damage with one combo. There are several items to be collected throughout the area, including Skill Shards for various plague weapons, Collection of Memories Lv 1, and Alchemy Enhancers.
Urd, who players will recognize asVarg’s companion from earlier in the game, is an important challenge not to be missed because she is the final sub-boss in both Hermes Fortress and the game’s final optional boss. Players will find her quite challenging if they do not appropriately prepare with the right skills and weapons. However, for perseverance through the struggle, the rewards are immense. Players will receive 9800 Memory Shards, Javelin Sword Skill Shards, a Forgotten Feather, and Urd’s Core.
