Twitchstreamer xQC quickly denied rumors that he’s dating fellow streamer Adept again. This comes a month after thecouple broke up a second timeand is just one of many Twitch streamer dramas that viewers seem to be invested in.

Adept, also known as adeptthebest, and xQc had an on-and-off-again relationship. TheTwitch streamers first broke up in August 2021, which they both announced on their respective Twitter accounts. They eventually got back together in December of that year. Meanwhile, this recent breakup happened in early September, but the controversies surrounding it lasted a whole month due to xQc and Adept having a heated argument in front of 125,000 live viewers. The incident divided their fans, with some calling xQc tasteless for airing out their problems and incited harassment against Adept.

In xQc’s recent late-nightOverwatchstream onTwitch, Adept suddenly appeared and gave him a couple of kisses on the cheek. He later clarified that they’re not back together and that Adept simply came over with a friend who needed to use the toilet. However, many of his viewers didn’t seem to believe him as they spammed the chat with Kappa emotes and “sure” messages. A viewer also made a clip with the title “Adept bringing her friend over to confront xQc at 3am.”

xQc and Adept, who was sitting away from the camera, also appeared to be arguing at one point in the stream, and a viewer made a clip with the title “Adept bringing her friend over to confront xQc at 3am.” Fans expressed their confusion about the streamers' actual relationship status, while others have accused Adept of being manipulative towards xQc. Both Twitch streamers have addressed similar speculations in the past, denying that either of them has been abusive to the other. But some of their fans may think otherwise because of their tendency to make their relationship struggles and fights public.

In the past, xQc explained that he’s had to deal with personal stress, some of which prompted him totake breaks from Twitch streaming. One of the stressors, he claimed, was his brother not getting along with Adept. It’s unclear whether this ultimately ended their relationship, but one could assume that it was a factor.

Whatever their situation may be, the speculations and insults being hurled at Adept show thedouble standard of how female Twitch streamersare perceived on the platform. Although xQc and Adept often fought publicly, outsiders won’t know the full story unless the streamers disclose the details themselves. For now, the exes seem to be friends and most likely hang out with the same circles. Whether they will get back together again remains unknown.
